I recently got these seeds and I was hoping to start an outdoor garden! However I really only have potted, indoor plants and I am not super experienced with outdoor gardens. Just asking for tips/advice. Anything helps! I live in Missouri and the weather is very unpredictable which is my biggest fear for them.

Hi Garden Growers, How bad of an idea is it to plant ivy in my yard? I have these two pretty variegated varieties that I’ve been keeping as houseplants, but thought they might be nice to fill in some spaces outside. Maybe to cover up the ugly sewer access pipes, or to climb up my decorative old chair. I know ivy can take over easily. What’s been your experience with outdoor ivy?

Need some strawberry advice here. Most of these plants are a year old, they look great and already reproduced many times over. Beginning of spring I already got 6 fruits picked. But now there are none, no flowers even starting. Any advice for what’s wrong and what I could do?

Need help getting started with my nagami kumquat tree My friends got me a kumquat tree for my birthday, and I need help making sure I'm treating it right. It's potted in a nursery pot right now, but they also gave me a large terracotta pot with one large drainage hole at the bottom. It's outside on my porch in Los Angeles. A few questions: * Should I repot now? If not, when should I repot? * If so, is this one drainage hole enough? * Is this soil the right mix for repotting? * How often should I be fertilizing/watering? * Anything else I should keep in mind? This is my first outdoor plant that's not a cactus, so any tips are much appreciated. Thanks!!

Hello all! I’ve used this app before for house plants and they all thrived, but now I’ve moved on to herb and vegetable gardening. I’m unsure of what herbs are excellent pest control though. I know things like basil, mint and thyme are great for keeping away certain pests, but does anyone have any other recommendations that you’ve had success with? Preferably herbs that can also be used for cooking?

It’s time to put your salt down around your beds and pots if you haven’t. I found 2 hammer head worms 🪱 this morning. Salt kills them instantly!

I bought 2 Hydrangea bushes on clearance at Lowe’s & have been trying to nurse them- should I cut the brown blooms? I have trimmed the brown leaves since taking this photo. They have new buds that haven’t bloomed yet, and I’ve given them support to keep them off the ground.
