“Let’s just pop into the plant shop real quick and look at what they have” My boyfriend and I are never going to financially recover from that sentence 😂

I was wondering why my zz plant is dropping yellow leaves and getting new shoots?! I was gifted it a 3-4 months ago. The first month I think I was overwatering but now I water once a month. It stands about 4 feet tall and is in a drainage pot so I’m assuming there is drainage. It’s in a northeast window. I don’t want to kill it 😳 I also only use my fish tank water……confused

Any help identifying plant? The tag said philodendron but every plant app identifies it as a monstera. Are they similar plants?

I am getting an instruction that it is time to clean my plants. I’m curious about the best way to do that. Way back in the 70s milk was advised as a leaf cleaning solution. Are we still doing that?

A visit to Puerto Rico…It’s amazing to see how massive and dense these plants grow in tropical climates.

I’ve had this money tree for a year and all the sudden the whole plant is turning like this. Does anyone know what’s going on? Some of the leaves start from the top and turn brown others the whole leave turns light and discolored

Hello, Does anybody know why the bottom of my air plant looks brown? I feel like it has progressed and feels crunchy. Any suggestions on how to make it better? Or is it dead and cannot save it? UPDATE: After carefully giving her a look there was root rot 😢 As a newbie, I didn’t do a great job in inspecting it and picking the right one before purchasing.

Hello everyone, How does everyone clean water stains off of velvety leaves? I’ve been avoiding this because I don’t want to damage any of the leaves on my lemon lime mantras but…. it’s about time they get a good clean and dusting. I’ve been reading on different methods/do’s and dont’s but can’t find anything consistent about velvety leaves. I’d appreciate the feedback 🙂

I’m so excited and happy right now! I just spent all afternoon running errands and getting plant stuff. I made the patio look beautiful and added 2 plants to my room that I think should do well. Will the monstera get enough light? It’s about 4 feet away from a NE facing window.
