Hello. I’m not sure what this plant is called and I’m having a hard time with it.

Hi everyone. I’m still a fairly new plant mom. Why is this girl struggling so much? I think I was overwatering her and she wasn’t getting enough light. I’m giving her some more light (indirect) and less water. What else can I do?

Help identify this plant? Planta says it’s emerald gem and another app said it’s philodendron birkin.

My new Chicago apartment has a south facing sunroom so it gets drenched in bright direct light. Can anyone recommend foliage plants that actually thrive in this environment? I’m new to plants and every foliage plant only likes indirect bright light. I don’t want more than a couple succulents out there. Right now I have a string of pearls, English ivy, and a nasturtium. I don’t think I can leave the nasturtium out there - I thought it might cope if I heavily monitored the soil dampness but the leaves aren’t looking thrilled with the situation. I was also hoping to have a few variegated-leaf plants but it seems colorful leaves aren’t big fans of direct light either. I know a pothos will probably have the determination to live in the light but I’d love more suggestions. I really want to fill this room with thriving plants!

One of my first few plants, would you guys say it looks healthy? It came dusty so I cleaned the leaves off with a clean rag and dry water, misted it and watered it yesterday. It has small brown/yellow spots on some leaves and one of the leaves is starting to curl into it’s self. Looking forward to learning more 🪴

Hi lovely planties 💚 I’m a beginner at taking care of plants and probably started off too hard with this blue star fern. A couple weeks ago I didn’t think it was getting enough indirect sunlight, so I put it outside in the shade hoping it would help (the start of my mistake, I know now). Lo and behold I completely forgot it outside and the sun ended up being positioned on it for a good part of the whole day and now the leaves are becoming burnt, brown and crispy. Can anyone offer advice on if it’s possible to fix it, and if so how I can go about doing it? I didn’t want to go straight into cutting off dying leaves before asking people who might have a knowledgeable answer. Thank you in advance!!

Look at this fun plant: weeping p**** willow (it won’t let me post the full name). When I first got it, almost immediately it started dropping the flowers and I was frustrated and then the green leaves started showing up. Does anybody have one of these? I’m wondering if the stems turn red in the fall. I read they’re deciduous and I’ve never had one before, so I’m wondering how it’ll do inside. Do the leaves fall off even if it doesn’t get cold? Do the stems turn red and stay? I’ve got some time to figure it out but I’m curious!

I was recently gifted this plant, the only issue is the foliage seems to match so many that I can’t quite figure out what it is. Does anyone have an idea of what this most likely is? Any definitive features to look for?

I got this new plant and was so excited for the foliage, I didn't notice there was no name tag. Can anyone tell me what this is? My guess some species of kalanchoe
