I have a prayer plant that looks relatively healthy (just a bit leggy), but the soil will not dry out! It’s been a full 2 weeks since I last watered it and the top inch of soil still feels very damp to wet. My apartment is a little chilly, but taking >2 weeks to dry out seems a little excessive to me. Why isn’t the soil drying out appropriately?
Do you have drainage holes? What type of pot is it in & what soil did you use?
0개 좋아요Ceramic pot, it has drainage holes. Not sure what type of soil, it’s whatever the shop I bought it from used
0개 좋아요 Do you have a pic? Could the pot be too big? I would change the soil — get it into something with more bark & perlite
좋아요 1개 This will give you a chance to take a look at the roots too and check for damage or rot. Check with your eyes for dark & mushy, check with your nose — you will know if it smells wrong
