New purchase at Lowe’s as a birthday gift. I’ll need all the help I can get since I heard they’re a little tough to deal with lol. Gonna call him Figaro.

    My tip for you is to bottom water it and don’t give it bright direct light (they get sun burned very easily) they thrive in bright indirect.

    Mine loves a humidifier! initially I had it in a east facing window and it was doing really good, I couldn’t keep it there anymore so I moved it under a full spectrum LED plant light to make up for the lack of natural light and it’s giving me lots of new growth since it’s been there. I wipe the leaves twice a month, not sure if it does much but it helps check for pests and also makes me happy lol

      I check for pests every time I water. I really hate bugs lol (don’t know why I made plants a hobby) but I’ll be sure to take on your advice.

    Great name! Mine is figgy. She loves a grow light (providing bright indirect light) and a humidifier on for as much of the day as possible - have had a burst of new leaves and am now able to shape her. If the leaves are crispy and hard, humidity is the way to go (misting really doesn’t cut it with fiddle leaf figs, I find). Also definitely wipe the leaves - they are dust collectors.

      I realized that. There are water marks I’ve been trying to get off since I got it but I’ll be looking into how I can get them off. Thanks for the advice!
