Hello! I decided to bring my raspberry moon caladium inside as the leaves kept drooping and dying. For context, I live in NE FL. I decided to repot her as she was in the nursery pot. During repotting, I separated out some of the baby plants into other pots. I am worried because the leaves are still very droopy. I only repotted about 2 hours ago, however I don’t want the drooping leaves to die like the others. Should I add temporary supports to them in the meantime? I made my own chunky potting mix with potting soil, perlite, and cactus/succulent soil.

    I’m not the most knowledgeable person to address this issue with you because I don’t know your plant very well. But I’ve had some experience with repotting and then having my plants droop, either from that or from getting too dry or etc. I would definitely recommend supporting the stems so that they don’t break until she recovers from the repot. Gentle is best…Good luck! 😊💚🪴

    Caladiums are a bit difficult. I’m thinking it was droopy because it’s too hot outside; they prefer temps of 70-80F. However, they’re also not as tolerant to indoor conditions as most other tropical houseplants. Lack of humidity can make them droopy as well. Overwatering can also make them droop, so make sure to let the soil almost completely dry out before watering.
