found this beautiful white christmas caladia at a nursery yesterday! does this need a repot or should i let him get acclimated first? (i named him Rex because he reminds me of a dinosaur for some reason) if or when i do need to repot, what kind of soil should i use? i’m also wondering if there may be more than one plant in here… 🤔
DEF repot. I use a combo of potting soil, perlite, and orchid bark. Got up in pot size 1-2 inches. When the roots are coming out of the draining hole it’s definitely time

I would let it acclimate first

Let the plant get used to the new environment for at least 2 to 3 weeks. Moving and repotting are both stressful. No need to stack them. Roots coming out the bottom is not an indication to repot. It’s an indication to check all of the roots. The percentage of total roots versus soil is a more accurate measure. This means removing the pot to examine the root growth pattern and quantity. More roots than soil or the roots blocking drainage causing degradation of the plant, then, it’s time to repot. 🍀🪴
