my stromanthe triostar keeps turning yellow and the dries out!!! i am using distilled water and just moved it to a brighter spot. what might be the problem?? is it that the water i use to mist is tap? (the plant photo isn’t updated but she’s looking really sad)
Are you letting it dry out between watering? I’d definitely use distilled water for misting. I’ve found mine to be super finicky and if everything isn’t just right, then she isn’t as brilliant as she can be

im cautious about overwatering so i wait until the new leaves on mine have stopped unfurling, and if you wait too long all the leaves will curl to prevent moisture loss. usually the top 1/2” to inch of soil is dry. and misting doesn’t do much for the humidity so if the air in your home is dry that may also be part of the problem

Mine is turning yellow as well 😭. I decreased the pot size, used a lighter soil and gave it a bit more light (it was in a shady corner). Fingers crossed 😢
0개 좋아요 Providing mine with more light seemed to stop the drying out of leaves! Before moving it, I lost a new leaf every other day it seemed. I’ve changed nothing else in its care.
