How long does it take for Alocasia corms to sprout? When I repotted mine I found about 3 and put them in leca. That was a few weeks ago and I haven’t noticed any change but the roots look more abundant. Also, should I worry about this corn that has what looks like mold?? 😳

Do you cover it up? I have grown my corms in a prop box with sphagnum moss/perlite. Or my first one was in a plastic cup with a plastic bag over it to keep it humid. It feels like my corm starts forming a leaf around 3 weeks.

I don’t, I just have it under a grow light-I’ll cover it up though thanks for the tip!

Np! Yeah, the leaves like to stay moist when younger. I made the mistake of taking off the bag when a leaf fully developed and that baby leaf dried up within days... Right now I have one corm with a fully developed leaf. Took it out of my box and transplanted to my usual tropical/houseplant mix in a plastic cup/bag as it gets bigger.
