hello! i have a Bonsai tree, and it’s leaves are all falling while there still green? i water it once a week and use a foam plant food. is there something i’m doing wrong…? thank you:)

IdaHow much light does it get? Have you checked the roots and last question: anything that moves on the leaves that are left? Like really really small dots or larvae? 😊

Penny LWhat kind of tree is it? If it’s not a tropical tree, you don’t want to keep it indoors without simulating outdoors conditions—i.e. plenty of light, correct temperature, sufficient moisture. And have you used a moisture meter for the soil? If it’s bonsai potting mix and you have a shallow pot, you might need to water in small amounts more frequently. But if you’re overwatering, then you might have to trim the roots and repot to get rid of root rot. I’d definitely hold off on the plant food for a while, too, as it could be burning the roots. i’m not sure if it’s a different type of bonsai tree, it is indoors and i usually put it in the shower to get humidity and i haven’t repotted it since i’ve had it cuz it came potted when i bought it. no i don’t have moisture meter i’m definitely a newby to plants😅i water it once a week and i’ll definitely hold off on the plant food thank you so much and i will for sure! sadly it doesn’t get too much light i’ve been trying to move it around my house to get sun light, no i havent i will tho maybe i should re pot it…and no larvae on the leaves. thank you!
