Houseplant Heretic

Just lucked out and found this beauty at my local grocery store for $15! Here’s my dilemma, should I transfer straight to LECA, or leave her alone for now? I’ve successfully transferred my other Alocasia (Nebula and Maharani), but lost most of the original leaves in the process, which I wouldn’t normally mind…but man I hate to lose this variegated beauty, especially not knowing if I’ll get another…. On the other hand, I don’t have any soil plants indoors, and with this coming from a big chain store, there’s no telling what might be going on under the surface (pests, rot, etc.). What would you do?

Going to post this in two groups. This is not my picture but found it on Reddit trying to find answers for something similar but in a much milder form happening on one of my Alocasia leaves. Does anyone know what this could be? No pests were found at all. It’s like small yellow spots. Don’t think it’s fungal or bacterial because often that is accompanied by wilty leaves and brown halos. Any advice is welcome.

Do you guys know why my plant would have spots like this? It’s in the sun, could it be too much sunlight? I did just repot it

Just sharing my odora. I’ve only had it a little while and I have many new leaves and have taken several corms. Easiest alocasia for sure! I am excited for it to get properly big!
