HELP! My Alocasia Polly has spider mites! I tried circling a bit of the web but it doesnât show up well on camera. I have never had spider mites so tips and care info will be GREATLY appreciated. I checked all the leaves and it looks like thereâs only a web on this new leaf coming up so maybe I caught it early if thatâs even possible. TIA!!! đ

Help???
Good morning! I had a alocasia Mickey Mouse infested with spider mites that I ended up cutting off all the leaves đąđą would it be best to move him leave him in dirt in an east facing window or transfer him to a substrate and under a grow light? What he looked like prior to the cutting⊠I cut right at the base right above the dirt.
I just bought this alocasia plant today and it looks so healthy!! How do I not kill it?! I have it near a south facing window so it will get bright-indirect light throughout the day. It is also underneath a regular artificial lamp that I keep on during the evenings when Iâm awake. Will this affect the plant or should I move it? Also how often should I water? HELP!!
I just found this huge Alocasia for cheap at Costco and loved it so much I immediately grabbed it, but Iâve never had one before. I see online a lot of people immediately repot these to a self watering pot with Pon or leca- is that super necessary, or is it ok to leave it in the soil it came in for a while? I live in a dry place so Iâm trying to boost humidity with a pebble tray and other plants. Really donât wanna kill this one!
What do yâall recommend? Iâve got some baby Alocasia plants that started at corms in sphagnum moss, & theyâre about to outgrow the Tupperware. Should I pot them in total sphagnum moss, or maybe put a layer of LECA with wicking cord at the bottom of a pot?
So I bought a Polly that had two plants in the pot. BOTH of them, the new leaf that was supposed to be sprouting was just a little dry brown piece that never grew. So basically they have just empty holes didnât the last leaf. Do I have any hope for new leaves or would I have to chop them and start over if I want new leaves to grow?
Um WOW! First leaves on corms after only a few days in their new soil!! đ„č the black velvet has been in its soil for almost two weeks now! Such a cute tiny leaf omg my heart đ„Č
I am in love with my Bisma. Apparently it is loving is new place. A west side window instead of south đ
My bambino lost all of her leaves and now sheâs got some friend on her đ„č
rescued this alocasia polly (it was dark green when i first found it) from my friends front yard. the leaf isn't looking good so i took it from the soil and am just placing it in water for the time being. any tips of what i should do i want it to survive but i have no clue how to take care of it đ„Č
Can anyone help identify what these spots mean? This plant is thriving, since i got from my friend i have a fourth leaf growing while hers only has three. But these spots are worrying me. Im new to taking care of plants so this is my baby and i want her to live forever lol.
My very FIRST amazonica leaf!!!!!!!! Sheâs a lil wrinkly but has been smoothing out and sheâs huge, at least second biggest on the plant. đ€© The other leaves on the plant are yellowing so I was concerned the plant isnât doing well but she pushed this beauty out after 6+ months of having her. Hoping my other leaves are just fading slowly due to being old but time will tell. This leaf is so healthy looking and Iâm very proud. đ
Hi, I have two alocasia frydeks. Both are sold as half to 3/4 moons. On both the past couple leaves are coming out all white. I know thatâs not a great thing. What should I do? I love these little guys.
Corm fun! Anyone know where I can get other varieties?? Or can you list a few for me to look out for!! I love alocasia!!
Has anyone tried to propagate an alocasia dark star, alocasia cuprea, or an alocasia black velvet? If so, how did you do it?
Recently got this beauty, it came in a âself wateringâ pot. Any thoughts on that? It seems to be enjoying the self watering as of now.
Finally found a Jacklyn yesterday to add to my collection đwelcome home Jackie đđ
