Okay, give it to me straight; what can I do to fix up this plant? This is my first colocasia and I’m pretty new to plants in general. I purchased it from Home Depot today and this is the condition that it is in. It will eventually move indoors since I don’t live in the right zone to have it outside year round. What can I do to set it up for success now, and what do I do to maintain it in the future? TIA!

This is my very first colocasia, Elephant Ear 💕 I bought this bulb back in May. Two weeks ago I saw this sprout, and in the past 5 days the leaf has unfurled. It has been absolutely amazing to watch 🤩 I am totally in love 🥰 There are six more knubs poking out of the soil and I cannot wait to continue to watch this grow!

Am I delusional??? How is my black velvet flowering? Just these last few weeks it got spider mites and I had to cut off 3 leaves leaving only one lonely little guy. I could’ve sworn this guy was close to being done for Don’t judge my little name tags lol

Just looking to get some opinions on my Bambino. To me she looks wilty and also has a ton of growth now. Still in the original nursing pot. I don’t know if I should repot with some chunkier soil ? The roots are not really coming out yet but she just doesn’t look super happy right now and her soil has been taking kind of a while to dry out. Any pointers would be appreciated as I’m pretty new to the having a green thumb thing.

Hi guys. I bought this plant from Trader Joe’s a few weeks ago and the soil it was in was god awful so I repotted it and is has slowly lost all of its leaves and I thought maybe it was going to lose just the smaller ones but now it’s losing a bigger one. Any tips? Is the whole plant going to die? Will it come back? Thanks!

i accidentally plant my alocasia corm upside down! and it looked like this. is it gonna be okay? and should i cover with more soil so that the sprout is not visible from the surface? please help thank you!!

In June I switched to semi-hydro with this Alocasia Wentii in a last ditch effort to encourage some more growth. I was just about to throw in the towel when I spotted this. I was so excited and relieved I may have actually ’gasped’! 😊
