My variegated frydek and aurea gageana are doin this- not sure what I’m doing wrong help The leaves are like- see through???
I got my first alocasia last weekend. Are these aerial roots? New roots? New leaves?
She’s lucky she’s cute bc these spider mites are killing me. Tell me it gets better??? 😫
Any recommendations on how to make this better? 😁
uh oh. Did I plant the corm upside down?? And if so, should I plant it back the same way? I have about 10 or 15 corms from different Alocasias in grow boxes n haven’t seen something like this yet.. This guy went into a large clear medicine bottle to grow more because of the roots being so long, I just planted it roots side down - now it’s got a little tail (or neck maybe?) making me second guess myself 🤣 Thoughts, comments, feelings below thank you:)
Just wanted to show off this leaf, it’s so pretty!
Hi! My black velvet has flowered earlier this week & i've seen people saying that you should cut them back so it focuses on new leaf growth. Is there a point at which i should do this?
I just want to share my excitement! My first growth on my first corm 🥹
I just got this Alocasia from Harris Teeter a few days ago She was worse for wear but seems to not be worsening, which is nice I thought she was a dragon scale but she doesn’t have those maroon veins on the under leaf I hear about Is it just because she’s young or unhealthy? Or is she something else? I’ve tried looking around and not many other types I’ve seen have really sounded like her The tag only brought me to a site with many plants, the only two looking like here was the Silver dragon and the Dragonscale
Local greenhouse got her in a bulk ship with no label, just an Alocasia. I believe it's a Cuprea, Red Secret....correct me if Im wrong.
My black velvet is blessing me with her 12th leaf! The most she’s ever had 🥰 I just had to share my excitement. I’m simply over the moon about this
New to plant care☺️ Got this from Home Depot first plant for the new home. Need tips on how to take care of it and if I should repot it or how much water? This app doesn’t tell me much

I'm thinking about getting an alocacia, any specific type I should get? I'm thinking about getting a frydek
Do the leaves just keep getting bigger and bigger? I thought the previous one was huge but the newest one is like triple that size!
new leaf is in!
Okay, give it to me straight; what can I do to fix up this plant? This is my first colocasia and I’m pretty new to plants in general. I purchased it from Home Depot today and this is the condition that it is in. It will eventually move indoors since I don’t live in the right zone to have it outside year round. What can I do to set it up for success now, and what do I do to maintain it in the future? TIA!

Some seeds getting pretty close to being ready to harvest. I’ve always done from corm in the past . This should be interesting.
