Can some one tell me which Alocasia this is ? I know there are several with similar patterns & shapes & I’m having a hard time figuring it out . It wasn’t marked when I got it . BTW my first new leaf this spring it’s been a while since it’s given me one . So shiny 😀

I’m not sure where these brown spots came from. Any advice?

I got this bambino not even 4 days ago and he is rapidly declining! This happened with another alocasia polly that I got. It’s like as soon as they enter my home they hit an immediate downward spiral. I try to hold off on immediately repotting so they have time to adjust, but maybe I should be repotting?

ive got my first corm from my beloved black velvet alocasia, should i pluck it off when its bigger too grow it or can they just grow on their own in the soil attached too the mother?

My first successful corm prop! I feel like a new mommy lol only thing is I didn’t label it soooo based on the stem color it could be my pink dragon / princess not sure which or if they are the same or it could be my purpley or Polly 😒 based on the underside with the purple prob the last 2?

My first alocasia ever! (Also have a baby silver dragon - got around the same time, bottom left in cup of loss). After a year of mastering all manner of houseplants except calatheas and alocasias… I finally took the plunge and got this one at Lowe’s because she looked amazing.
I repotted her and split her up after a couple weeks of having her… putting one in LECA and one in a super airy tropical mix.
They are next to a humidifier that is set to 60% humidity and I have been spritzing all my plants once a week…. She’s under a grow light (not directly but pointed at her) on the second to lowest light setting because I’ve read not super direct light.
I also only use distilled water.
Any other advice for a first time alocasia mom?

Hi all,
My elephant ear seems in great shape and getting big but there’s the two older leaves that have gone very wide and open. Is there anything I should be doing or is it normal?
Thanks!
Dylan
So excited I finally made this jump!

I’m still pretty new to Alocasia, does anyone have any suggestions on how to clean Frydek leaves? I just got this starter plant from TheGreenEscape on Etsy and it looks like it has some water stains on it.

Hi everyone!
I just wanted to share an update on my lovely Alocasia Yucatán Princess! 🌿 She has been such a joy to care for. I bought her last fall, and after a cozy winter acclimating to my home, she surprised me this spring with two stunning new leaves.
I started fertilizing her as the weather warmed up, and it really seems to have done the trick. The new leaves are vibrant and lush, adding so much beauty to my space. I'm hopeful she'll keep thriving and give me even more gorgeous leaves as we move into summer.
Has anyone else had similar experiences with their Alocasia? Would love to hear your tips and stories!
Happy growing! 👩🌾🪴
