My Jacklyn is fairly new to me (1 month) and all of its leaftips have turned yellow and shriveled. It shouldn’t be an overwatering thing, but maybe a stress/adjustment issue?

Can someone explain the yellow variegated leaf on my Mikey mouse Alocasia? The other two are white and seem healthy, but this one is bright yellow but I don’t understand why and if it’s something to worry about. Thank you!!

What is this growing from the center of my Colocasia? I don’t think it’s a new leaf, the new leaf would come from the stem of the newest leaf that’s in the far right of the close up image. Unless I’m wrong and they can grow more leaves from the center and not just the stem of another. I’ve been googling and the best I can think of is it’s starting to grow a flower? But I think it’s too young to be growing one. Background, I did save this plant. All its leaves were dead and growing one new leaf still in its sheath when I got it. So the four leaves it has is what it had grown under my care. So technically it’s older than what it looks, but still questionable if it could even flower with just four leaves.

Baby variegated frydek 🥹 doing an experiment have two in semi hydro and one still in the sphagnum prop box to see which is better. So far the semi hydro has unfurled faster

This was my first Alocasia. What started out as a plant that I almost killed in the first week has turned into this; I absolutely love her! However, the baby plants are now sprouting babies and there are corms galore popping up on the surface of the Pon. Would it harm the main plant(s) if I cut/snapped/break off the smaller plants as they pop up? Not sure how many more I can handle let alone how many more that planter can handle lol

Need suggestions!! Should I chop and start over? My zebrina has been growing in the same spot for over a year. She was getting partial sun/shade and constantly pushing out new leaves. All of sudden, her leaves are curling upside down (like she’s getting too much light). Her stems are still very healthy and her roots look great. I have since moved her to a less sunny spot, but her leaves don’t seem to be turning back.

Hey Plant Fam- I have a baby Amazonica Polly Aurea that I'm struggling with for a couple of months now; It is the only Alocasia that I have ever had a problem with. Anything special about the care of this particular species that I should know that's different? The temperature ranges from 65-85 degrees, has a grow light on for 12hrs a day and the humidity averages about 65%. I have a baby Dragon Scale Albo and baby Variegated Silver Dragon in the same growing conditions and they are thriving. Thoughts? Thanks in advance

Any advice for potting medium for my Jacklyn? I just found her and she’s in plain soil but I don’t want to repot right before winter? Should I go for it or let her sit in the nursery pot until spring, or is the soil she’s in now fine?

AHHHH why are the leaves turning yellow?!?! Since I got it, this alocasia has been super happy, putting out new leaves… there was a bit of a humidity issue at first and edges of one leaf yellowed, then got crispy (I cut those areas off to help keep track of any additional issues). Lately it was looking like two of the leaves were really angled down. I say angled down and not drooping because the petioles still seemed so firm! But suddenly these leaves are going totally yellow, and it doesn’t quite look like anything else I can find only one! Can someone help me? 😢 I think the health of the plant mustn’t be TOO terrible because it is putting out a new leaf! Oh, I’ve also noticed a lot more roots at the surface of the soil.

Hello planty friends :) I have a variegated alocasia ‘Morocco’ ( pink dragon) here that is pushing out an all green leaf with no variegation. Any tips on how to restore the variegation? I’ve heard cutting the green leaves can work, but I’m not sure if it works for alocasia’s . I’m not sure if it needs higher light, but she is directly under a grow light , it’s a few feet above on the ceiling .

Hello! I am a beginner with Alocasias. I have heard they can be difficult and I have some that are doing well and others that are not doing so well. Anyone have any beginner tips? Photo 1: was given this one with the leaf damaged but it is now putting out a new leaf. Once the new leaf is stronger, I am thinking about cutting the damaged leaf. Photo 2: This one was doing really great but now it is suddenly yellowing in the middle parts of the leaf Photo 3: I bought this one from a box store and when I got hope the leaf ends started curling and getting mushy Photo: this is a baby this is doing fairly well

I want an alocsia but I don't know which one to start with. I would love to have an alocsia frydex but I have heard that they are pretty difficult.Does anyone have any ideas?
