Does anyone think the yellowing edges likely due to a nitrogen/fertilizer deficiency? I don’t see any pests or issues.

Hi everyone! My alocasia elephant ear × polly needs urgent help. It's a rescue from a store, and it's had thrips for a good while, until I treated it with diatomaceous earth and neem oil - however, now that I don't see pests on the leaf, I see yellowing and translucent spots. Is it pest damage from before, or do I have to change something in the plant care? It's right next to a window, on a watering schedule and in a pebble water tray. The soil right now is thoroughly wet after a recent watering about 2 days ago (the diatomaceous earth became a sludge and trapped moisture, so I did my best to break it apart and airate the soil.) Let me know what you think, and thank you all in advance!

Hello Alocasia Admirers! My Alocasia longiloba is looking a little pale, not sure what’s causing it. I haven’t changed anything in his routine since I got him. But a few months ago he was green and now he’s pale, any ideas?

Hi, this is my Melo. I’m not sure what this is. Hopefully it’s a good thing and maybe a flower but if you wouldn’t mind helping me out and telling me what I do with it or not, that would be great. Thank you in advance.

went back for the alocasia I saw at my local plant shopđŸ€ but what is the white residue on the tops of the leaves? my ficus from the shop has the same situation — almost looks like soap scum?

Hey! I attempted to propagate corms and seem to be having some success. Would you say it’s time to plant the ones with roots? I’ve got a few 2 inch nursery pots I can put them in. Would that be the right size to start?

Hi Planta friends! Any idea what Alocasia this is?? Planta says Dragon Scale (although I know it’s not). It was bought as a Nebula. Thoughts? TIA!

cannot stop thinking about this alocasia I saw at a local plant nursery
I almost took her home but felt like she could smell my fear
should I go back and get her this weekend? I have never had an alocasia and they seem difficult!

The only Alocasia I’ve managed to keep alive and getting new growth
and I dropped it on its head & cracked it when I first got it and held the wounds together with orchid clips
trauma gives strength I guess ! đŸ€ŁđŸ€Ł (you can totally see her scars too lmaoo)
