Repotted my alo on the 7th and itâs been doing well. I watered on the 15th and made sure the pot/soil drained well before putting it back under my grow lights. I also turn a humidifier on once a day. Today the larger leaf is drooping. Any thoughts? Did i do or not do something? Is Cornelius just being finicky? Does he need support? Am i a fussy plant mom? đŹ

Is this an Alocasia Polly or Mandalay?

Just got this last week and not sure how best to care for it! I love it and don't want to hurt it! It looks like the baby leaf coming in is yellowing, what am I doing wrong? I have not repotted it. Just waiting to let it acclimate to my house. And the leaves are dripping at points, that's just the excreted water right?!

Can some identify the smaller plant below the Polly? Thank you!

Trying to identify this Alocasia! Please help :)

Hi all! I have a lil baby Odora Batik that has suddenly started dropping leaves after a new one popped in. No changes in location/humidity/temp, etc. I was reading it normal for immature plants to lose leaves once a new one pops in- is that the case?

Repotted my Alocasia odora today, and ended up finding three cormlets! Iâm excited to try my hand at propagating these little nuggets, wish me luck that they grow up as handsome as their dad!

Any advice on potting these beauties? Theyâve been growing since June and Iâm nervous.

I need help with my first Alocasia! I picked him up about two weeks ago, repotted about one week ago. He has a new leaf coming in but heâs already killed his first leaf to the point it fell off. I know thatâs kind of what they do when growing new leaves to be able to get enough nutrients but heâs now almost killed a second leaf and almost halfway through the third. The biggest leaf also has a starting spot on it too! I fertilized him last watering. I hope Iâm not killing him!

Iâm so excited about my A. Macrorrhiza Camouflage!! Heâs already unfurling a new leaf! Will the next leaf be as tall as the current tallest one? Just trying to plan space wise!

Good morning plant friends! Does anyone mix their own soil mix for their alocasias/monsteras? If so, what are your ratios? I have an alocasia dawn and a thai constellation and I need to repot. Thanks in advance!

Can I put my elephant ear alocasia in lecca? Or is that a bad idea? Need help badly

I had to repot my Alocasia Silver Dragon and found these corms. What is the best way to propagate these?

My question: Is the lighter green color on the right side from it not fully hardening yet?? The left one had the same color & eventually went away, this one just seems to be hanging on to it longer. I just want to make sure Iâm not giving it too much light.

Hi all, Iâm new to the Planta community and i wanted to ask if anyone has any experience with this type of alocasia. It was gifted to me and the person said it was a variegated alocasia dawn but Iâd like to get everyoneâs input. I tried adding it to my plant list but I couldnât find it.

PLLLLSSS I got so excited when I saw this on my college campus!! Itâs giving such strong Alocasia vibes but Iâm also shocked it would be here? Anyone know what this is? đđ

Hey guys! So I purchased 2 Miloâs at Walmart tonight⊠they look good I didnât see any signs of pests or diseases⊠got them home and something told me to check one of the new leaves that one was pushing out that hadnt totally unfurled. (One in middle of this pic) Of course I ripped it a bit opening it but Iâm glad I did⊠the green gods mustâve been on my side telling me to check it, cause there were a lot of tiny clear bugs. They werenât moving at all but I wiped them all off, rinsed that leaf with water, and sprayed it with neem oil. Theyâre both upstairs separate from my other plants. What do you think those were, baby spider mites? They looked like mealy bugs honestly but those have always been white in my experience. Iâm gonna let them acclimate for about a week and then Iâll repot by throwing out the soil, rinsing everything with water, and then placing in cups of water for another few weeks before putting in a self watering pots with pon. Would you guys do anything differently?
I did also get an anthurium flamingo lily thatâs the most healthy Iâve EVER seen⊠but once home I noticed a tiny spider web on top of soil⊠nothing in the web though. I placed it upstairs too⊠Iâll most likely change its soil but I didnât want to put it in water or pon because mine havenât done well in either so far so I was going to put it in aroid soil. Do you think it couldâve just been a coincidence? Because seriously it looks so healthy. So confusing.
