For those that remember the corms from my Black Stem with sport var.: the babies have some tiny variegation I think!

My Polly is getting yellowish brown spots on it. Dr Planta is saying it’s overwatering, but I don’t think that’s right. I’m not sure what it could be though, can anyone help? Also, the dry brown spots on the leaves were there before I got the plant, I haven’t seen any new spots since getting it. For reference, I’ve had this Alocasia for 2 months now. I repotted it in a chunky soil about a month and a half ago in a clear orchid pot. It has never given me new leaves, but it does look like more roots have grown. The roots are healthy white, no sign of rot at all which is why I’m thinking it’s not overwatering. I also check the soil with a wood skewer to make sure it’s mostly dry before watering. The room it’s in is on average between 65-70 degrees and 45-55% humidity. Within the last couple weeks I have lost 2 leaves but I wasn’t really concerned initially because they were the original small leaves. But now that these yellowish spots are showing up on the newer bigger leaves I am a bit concerned. I have checked this plant for bugs numerous times since I have got it and haven’t seen anything at all. I did treat it in the beginning with captain jacks bug brew a couple times. I know Alocasia are dramatic so I don’t know if this is normal or if I am missing something or doing something wrong.

This is my first Alocasia and I’ve had it for probably about 5 months now. I haven’t had any new growth except for this that started about a week ago. Is this a flower ?? Or new leaf forming ? Regardless I’m excited to see an addition to itself :)

I got an alocasia black velvet a couple of weeks ago and I’ve noticed the bottom leaves are starting to go yellow and crisp up at the ends- does anyone know what’s causing it and how to fix it?! Thanks!

Hi I just received this silver dragon in the mail. Its leaves were wet , soil is very moist and it looks like it might have some Oedema. I’m not sure. Any thoughts? Should I rush repotting it?

Please help! Pink Dragon has dropped all outer leaves, which is kinda normal, but now only three remaining are yellowing on the perimeter and are wrinkled. Usually the blistering leaves are a sign of overwatering but the soil hasn’t been overwatered. Also, have noticed strange things coming from the plant at the base. I’d really like not to lose this one so any advice is most appreciated.

I purchased this Variegated Frydek a little over a month ago. I’ve been watering on the schedule suggested by Planta but it has lost its leaves and these two are paling and getting crunchy. Help please!

I got back from vacation and my baby is looking so sad! 2/5 leaves are droopy and brown/yellow but not crinkly like she wasn’t watered… no bugs to be seen anywhere either. Is it too cold in my house? She was on my windowsill over the vacation so maybe the glass froze the leaves? I live in the Midwest USA so 30-40s outside usually. TIA

Ideas on what this is? Not sure if I should be concerned. Looks like this is the only leaf that has these holes.

I got my first Alocasia back in October, a black velvet. I repotted her two weeks later and found two corms! They’re both growing well, but this one popped first and is finally showing its cute little leaf! Let me tell you, my heart melted!

I just received this beautiful lady from a friend as a Christmas gift. How do I take care of her? My one and only experience with an alocacia didn’t go well.

I bought this Alocasia about a month ago. (Posted it on here) it was doing amazing until today I noticed these two yellowing leaves. I want to note that my apartment was cold for a couple of hours when the heater wasn’t working about a day ago. Could it be because of that? I also had never repotted since I got it. I decided to do that today and check if there was anything wrong with the roots. I did not notice root rot, but the roots were wrapped around with what looked like thin paper towel? Please tell me my alocasia will survive😭

My Alocasia Jacklyn did not enjoy the transition to winter this year and lost one leaf after another so I decided to repot it into a hydroponic no drainage pot and it has bounced back very nicely. This is going to be a spectacular giant leaf.
