I got back from vacation and my baby is looking so sad! 2/5 leaves are droopy and brown/yellow but not crinkly like she wasn’t watered… no bugs to be seen anywhere either. Is it too cold in my house? She was on my windowsill over the vacation so maybe the glass froze the leaves? I live in the Midwest USA so 30-40s outside usually. TIA

Ideas on what this is? Not sure if I should be concerned. Looks like this is the only leaf that has these holes.

I got my first Alocasia back in October, a black velvet. I repotted her two weeks later and found two corms! They’re both growing well, but this one popped first and is finally showing its cute little leaf! Let me tell you, my heart melted!

I just received this beautiful lady from a friend as a Christmas gift. How do I take care of her? My one and only experience with an alocacia didn’t go well.

I bought this Alocasia about a month ago. (Posted it on here) it was doing amazing until today I noticed these two yellowing leaves. I want to note that my apartment was cold for a couple of hours when the heater wasn’t working about a day ago. Could it be because of that? I also had never repotted since I got it. I decided to do that today and check if there was anything wrong with the roots. I did not notice root rot, but the roots were wrapped around with what looked like thin paper towel?
Please tell me my alocasia will survive😭

Can anyone tell me if I should be concerned about these spots??

I got this from a local plant store and jt was looking rough. Look at those babies grow. 🌱

My Alocasia Jacklyn did not enjoy the transition to winter this year and lost one leaf after another so I decided to repot it into a hydroponic no drainage pot and it has bounced back very nicely. This is going to be a spectacular giant leaf.

Does anyone know what variety this is?

My alocasia silver dragon has passed away after a week long battle to stay alive. I am now the guardian of her 6 babies.
Is there any good sites to by an alocasia? I want to re try to keep another one alive

I’m so proud of how big this alocasia has grown over the years. 🥹

Found this Black Stem with sport variegation at a big box store, repotted her and found 6 corms! And although I know it’s highly unlikely these corms will grow to have any variegation, I’m still super excited to see what they’ll look like ☺️

Does anyone know which kind of Alocasia this is? It’s only labeled as the Alocasia on the planter.

I have an Alocasia silver dragon that I purchased that has 2 plants in 1 I’m noticing that when I split the plant one of them has 2 leaves but no growth point on either. It does have a corm on both just not sure how a new leaf will come when they both don’t have a growth point like typical Alocasia do. Usually the part of the stem that grows the leaf is closed and ridged on mine they are both open already….

My Alocasia Silver dragon finally gave me a new leaf. This is the first one since July when I accidentally shocked it into losing like 8 leaves😭😭💀.

The last of her roots just fell off. I decided to put her in perlite. Her base wasn’t totally mushy but there was some mushy parts that I scraped off. Any advice? Or do I need to let her go?

For anyone following my first corm journey, here’s an update. First leaf! Despite looking black when it arrived in the mail and being planted upside down by me at first, it’s growing into a healthy plantlet! 🤩 So happy and excited for this Frydek all over again

I think I just experienced my first root rot situation and now I’m starting off at square 1. I feel so bad for not taking care of her but I was trying my best🥺. First pic is now. Second is 3 weeks ago
