Big Apple Plants

I bought this Alocasia about a month ago. (Posted it on here) it was doing amazing until today I noticed these two yellowing leaves. I want to note that my apartment was cold for a couple of hours when the heater wasn’t working about a day ago. Could it be because of that? I also had never repotted since I got it. I decided to do that today and check if there was anything wrong with the roots. I did not notice root rot, but the roots were wrapped around with what looked like thin paper towel? Please tell me my alocasia will survive😭

Some places wrap their Roots In paper/mesh bags… (root traps pretty much) you should always check for them when you buy from that place (Home Depot and lows + do that to Plants for some reason- if you dont already try looking for local nursery/greenerys) it could be in shock from the cold draft Also Messing with the roots can shock it even more their sensitive Little shits so Just it some time to settle Down and stabilize ans hopefully It starts to thrive again! Good luck love

You can cut the root rot off on the area that had it to prevent it from spreading even more. Just be careful Again their sensitive little shits With their roots… i can move mine over an inch On my table and it Shocks its self lol
