First time I got a 4 “leafer” this young 🖤 Don’t mind the fogginess my humidifier was on #SilverDragon

So this is the first time I’ve ever had an alocasia and I think it might be sunburnt the soil is good and I don’t water too frequently. But I noticed that in front of my grow light they have gotten crispy around the edges should I move the plant to a lower light area?

Three blooms at the same time what does it mean what should I do about them and can they make seeds with themselves?

I have always said to myself that I wasn’t interested in having a regal shield. Until I saw this beast in a garden centre for twenty pounds. Its leaves are nearly twice the size of my head (and I have a big head). Can honestly say it’s one of my favourites! 😍

HELP! My Alocasia Polly has spider mites! I tried circling a bit of the web but it doesn’t show up well on camera. I have never had spider mites so tips and care info will be GREATLY appreciated. I checked all the leaves and it looks like there’s only a web on this new leaf coming up so maybe I caught it early if that’s even possible. TIA!!! 😓

Good morning! I had a alocasia Mickey Mouse infested with spider mites that I ended up cutting off all the leaves 😢😢 would it be best to move him leave him in dirt in an east facing window or transfer him to a substrate and under a grow light? What he looked like prior to the cutting… I cut right at the base right above the dirt.

I just bought this alocasia plant today and it looks so healthy!! How do I not kill it?! I have it near a south facing window so it will get bright-indirect light throughout the day. It is also underneath a regular artificial lamp that I keep on during the evenings when I’m awake. Will this affect the plant or should I move it? Also how often should I water? HELP!!

I just found this huge Alocasia for cheap at Costco and loved it so much I immediately grabbed it, but I’ve never had one before. I see online a lot of people immediately repot these to a self watering pot with Pon or leca- is that super necessary, or is it ok to leave it in the soil it came in for a while? I live in a dry place so I’m trying to boost humidity with a pebble tray and other plants. Really don’t wanna kill this one!

What do y’all recommend? I’ve got some baby Alocasia plants that started at corms in sphagnum moss, & they’re about to outgrow the Tupperware. Should I pot them in total sphagnum moss, or maybe put a layer of LECA with wicking cord at the bottom of a pot?

So I bought a Polly that had two plants in the pot. BOTH of them, the new leaf that was supposed to be sprouting was just a little dry brown piece that never grew. So basically they have just empty holes didn’t the last leaf. Do I have any hope for new leaves or would I have to chop them and start over if I want new leaves to grow?
