Good morning! I had a alocasia Mickey Mouse infested with spider mites that I ended up cutting off all the leaves 😢😢 would it be best to move him leave him in dirt in an east facing window or transfer him to a substrate and under a grow light? What he looked like prior to the cutting… I cut right at the base right above the dirt.

You could just cover the container with a clear container or jar and keep in east window. I’d probably spray the soil and remaining stem with neem and fertilize it (+ a sprinkle of diatomaceous earth and mycorrhizae if you have it/want to) I’ve experimented with stratum and it’s the best substrate I’ve used for alocasia corms vs sphagnum or perlite but all work. You could also add some extra perlite and orchid bark to your original soil.

I’ve had to do this to my Mickey Mouse and it recovered quickly. Hoping the same for yours!! 💚💚
