My polly had massive root rot and I didn’t know so I have put her in Leca (heard they love it) and I want to make sure I have done it right she has next to no roots so hoping she will bounce back and get beautiful water roots the white line is where the water is

recently got this silver dragon and she seems happy, except her new growth appears to be struggling. it’s turned yellow and slightly crispy at the top. but the rest of her looks healthy? i did repot her a week ago or so, so maybe she’s in a bit of shock? would love opinions/tips :)

This Alocasia Dragon Scale is my first plant requiring lots of specialized care and I’m worried I’ve killed it. The info: it’s in an east facing window supplemented with a grow light, temperature kept between 20-23 C. I watered and fertilized yesterday (after 9 days of no water and the top two inches of soil completely dry, fertilized with half strength marphyl) and overnight the leaves have turned spotty yellow and drooped dramatically. Would love advice on how to keep this baby alive! I think I see signs of rot at the base. I appreciate any help you may have for me!

Hey all - I’m currently trying to plan my repotting plan. I have two different Alocasias which act like alocasias! đŸ˜ŹđŸ˜©đŸ€Ł Online I’ve been seeing a lot of people with their Alocasias in leca. Thoughts on transferring them to this medium which I have ZERO experience with?

Hi all. I just saved this baby from my local supermarket. Any idea on how I can get it back to good health? The roots look good to me. Should I repot to something more airy?

Hello everyone ! I was just wondering if any of you have had success with pon & self watering pots? I’ve moved pretty much all my Alocasia to pon & they don’t seem to be doing well . I have my black velvet that loves it & my red secret so far. I’ve lost 2 plants. I’m debating on switching back to soil but I don’t know if they are trying to adjust or if I should get them out . It’s mostly the leaves turning yellow until there’s nothing left. It’s been about 2 months maybe .

Can anyone help me figure out what’s wrong with my bby she was so pretty even grew a new leaf but it didn’t end up making it. It was in a bigger pot because it had bigger roots at first (I’ve had this for over a year) never had problems but when I went to give it a more airy soil bc it wasn’t drying out (the soil) it stayed wet for more then a week it didn’t have much roots anymore could that be why?

I’m not 100% sure but yall I think that’s a new shoot on my baby Scarlett. I’m pretty sure I have chopped and leaf or two and it’s tryna shoot out maybe two new leaves will be keeping a very close eye on her!đŸ‘ïž đŸ‘ïž

I bought some black elephant ear bulbs at Walmart today and when I opened them they don’t seem right. They are kinda crunchy and dry looking and I’m not sure if that’s mold growing on them or not. I’ve never dealt with bulbs before so I have no idea if this is normal for them or not?

Any idea why this newest leaf is yellowish/green? I’ve had this plant for several months and it seems generally happy and is even growing another leaf. The pot has drainage and I water when the soil is dry or mostly dry. Humidity is usually about 50-60%.

Any idea why my alocasia babies have sticky, wet leaves than don’t unfurl and get damaged? Happening to all my babies at the moment.

So these are my first two alocasias - Silver dragon and Reginae - and each has one leaf that is bending/folding the “wrong way”
I think? Is this normal for them to do this? Both plants seem to be happy and healthy (minus a couple little places on the tips of the leaves), but if they shouldn’t be doing this, what do I do to help correct it?
