hey guys!! i know i have a low humidity issue due to being in not so ideal conditions and having to have my plant stand up against a radiator, im starting a pebble tray but i wanted to ask, does there have to be pebbles? or can i just leave it like this?

    The pebbles help add a ton of surface area and really increase the rate of evaporation and therefore the humidity. There are some small cheap humidifiers you can buy online that might help your cause more!

      Yes ! I kept mine in a clear tote until it got too big to increase humidity

    i rescued a very sad polly a while ago & recently transferred her to leca. i was watching like a hawk but i think she’s acclimating well! i think semi hydro not only keeps their roots a bit moist but probably helps with a bit of humidity too. just something to think about if you ever wanna try 😊

      what nutrient solution do you like? this is my first leca plant & i’m still trying to find an easy nutrient system (as in, one solution & not 3 🥲) right now i’m only giving her superthrive so her roots can get established!

    I think it’s also in too big of a pot. If you truly want to grow her into a thriving Polly, this is what you should do. Place her in a jar of water, just enough to cover roots. Keep her there for about a month. Change water weekly and remove any dead soil roots but leave the new water roots alone. Then have you some lechuza pon and a self watering pot ready, after about a month place her in it. Don’t use the water reservoir yet, and don’t water for two weeks. When 2 weeks are up water from the top and empty reservoir. Then after 6 weeks you can use the reservoir, by this time she should feel somewhat secured and rooted into the pot.
