I’m still pretty new to Alocasia, does anyone have any suggestions on how to clean Frydek leaves? I just got this starter plant from TheGreenEscape on Etsy and it looks like it has some water stains on it.

Rubbing alcohol cleans water scale off the leaves great. Just wet a cotton ball and wipe them down. I also switched to distilled water for misting leaves so it doesn’t leave scale, and try not to get the tap water I use for watering on the leaves. Finally, use can use Neem oil or some kind of leaf shine product to brighten them up.

3 Mi piaceTo remove water spots I use a 1:1 ratio of vinegar and water. I put it on a microfiber towel and wipe the leaves

Lemon juice! I’ve never tried rubbing alcohol but sounds harsh. Plain not sweet lemon juice takes off all hard water stains even on glass!
1 mi piaceI didn’t know that about lemon juice, thank you

1 mi piaceI tried this on my black velvet and unfortunately it didn’t get much off. But I also did it very lightly because I was afraid of damaging the leaves lol.
