Can someone tell me what kind of alocasia this is? Picked it up from Lowe’s as a rehab project, that way if it dies I don’t feel bad, and it just said alocasia on it. I’ve also been misting the leaves because she looks thirsty all the time. Not even sure I’m suppose to do that. Any advice helps. Also, those leaves drooping at the bottom have yellow tips. Not sure why.
I think its an alocasia grey dragon. You're doing the right thing misting it, they love humidity and thats pry what the yellow tips are from. A humidifier might be better, I've heard its hard on a plant to have the humidity spike for a bit and then drop. But its better than nothing. I have a humidifier and I mist.
2 Mi piace Thank you! Glad I’m not slowly killing it. I really need to set up my humidifier. Misting every day forces me to check in on the plant but if the humidifier will help I’ll set it up today! Now I know what to call my alocasia. :)

Yeah, that’s exactly what it is! They have different, thicker leaves, that’s just them, not that they are thirsty but it will love the misting and humidifier, mine has done really well with both! But it will still have the same look! I call it my turtle shell plant! Lol!
