So Iāve got some corms. How long until they do something? Bc it feels like after a month, SOMETHING shouldāve happened by now lol.

It took me awhile for them to sprout and grow roots! I stuck mine in a take out container, filling water so half of the corm is above water and half is under. Itās important to give them a high humidity environment, so I stick the lid on and remove it for an hour everyday. It took me just about a month to see tiny roots growing, and another month for them to mature enough for me to plant them.
1 gillaIdk if itās just TOO hot here, but every cutting, I canāt do a closed container š they rot like the very next day every time. Iāll try again in the cooler months.
0 gillningarIāve heard it usually takes closer to 2 months. Iāve had mine in sphagnum for 1 month and a couple of them have a root. I also āpeeledā the corms before I put them in moss
1 gillaI may try moss. I JUST bought some today and made a pole for my monstera adonsonii cuttings.
2 gillningarIve only propped corms in moss/perlite mix so with that in mindā in a month you may see some roots start to grow & in about 02 months leaf growth by the third month you should have a baby leaf but that also depends on the growing environment. They love to stay humid so I kept them in a closed container (propping it open maybe once a week) & directly under a light

Sometimes they start moving and shaking right away (like within a couple of weeks) and sometimes they take forever! š The fastest ones I have grown so far are from my Micholitziana. All of the others are kinda starting to wake up and they were placed in stratum or perlite about 3 months ago. Some of them are still doing nothing. š I think they like to keep me guessing.
