I swear these little "pouches" were purposely designed to harbor spider mites!! Im doing my best fighting to keep the little a-holes out of my house!! But!! BUT, it seems no matter what measures taken this little cutie breeds them like no tomorrow!! She is little because Ive cut her back to the soil once already. On top of preventative spraying all of my plants, I keep this one covered with diatomaceous earth, (not enjoyable) when a new leaf unfurls-bam! Im so close to "gifting" this plant and never bring one back in to my home. If anyone has other suggestions, please share. I'm beyond desperate

    Hard to tell from that picture. I don’t see webbing and w/spider mites, you need magnification to see them. I do see something that looks like a possible thrip infestation or aphids tho.

    Ive been dealing with this plant and spider mites for so long, its 1000% spider mites. The pic is intentionally taken of the little pocket on the end of the leaf. Its wet from spraying alcohol in it before i took the pic. The whitish is power residue from diatomaceous on other leaves. I used a jewler loupe and could see the jerks in there.

    Crotons are susceptible to mites as well and I learned that keeping the plant too dry attracts spider mites. I started lightly misting with clove water and wiping the leaves down weekly with a microfiber cloth spritzed with alcohol to prevent them.

    You can always introduce a natural predator! There are lots of beneficial bugs you can introduce to take care of those! I’d just do a little research and see if you can buy some!
