Any suggestions welcome please! My Melo is sad and the new leaf hasn’t unfurled
 Watered last 5 days ago, misted every couple days, 8 hours of grow light per day

    You may want to increase the humidity and light. I’m not sure why Planta is so obsessed with misting because while it doesn’t hurt anything, it unfortunately only temporarily increases localized humidity for a few minutes, so it wouldn’t be enough for an Alocasia’s preferences. I’d get a humidifier for it or put it on a pebble tray if you can’t spring for a humidifier right now. For light, I’d increase the grow light hours to 12-14 hours per day. 12 hours/day is actually scientifically proven to be the minimum number plants need from grow lights to receive the same benefits as sunlight. If it’s already more than 25%-30% dry, it’s ready to be watered again.

    My Silver Dragon does this sometimes even if it's been watered. I tried bottom watering and left it sitting in a tub of water for a couple of hours and it sprung back. Not sure why top watering didn't solve it, so assuming the soil just dries out too quickly. Worth a try.

    Try getting a humidifier. Hopefully it will bounce back🙂
