I SWORE I WASNT gonna try another one. Clearly I’m lying to myself. Does anyone have one in pon? I tried leca - TWICE. This one is smaller than the last two. Currently in a 3” pot. Any other tips for the Sulawesi?! I have a Pink Dragon that is up and down (always - typical) SUPER chunky mix. I also successfully transferred my Bisma to leca a a month or so and her roots are going CRAZY!

I do have mine in Pon. I had three in soil last year that died off. I have since brought them back with multiple babies while living in Pon. My Pink Dragon is in a chunky mix and extremely slow growing. I would say the slowest of them all in my experience.

BEAUTIFUL! Do you have any advice about transferring to pon. I ordered two pots, one that is 3.9x3.9 and the other 6x6. She’s in a 3 inch pot now. Have t taken her out to look at the roots yet. Waiting for the pon and the 3.9 pot to arrive.

Thanks! The planting part is pretty straightforward. Just take your time in gently removing as much of the substrate as possible while checking for unhealthy roots. If there is rot I spray the roots with hydrogen peroxide. Some place their plants in water to stimulate water roots before the transfer to Pon. This could be a helpful process but I have not tried this with any of my plants and not opposed to it. Some also say it’s ok to leave some dirt on the roots. I do not if I can help it. You won’t need to fertilize for a few months. Now that I’m fertilizing, this is what I use. I mix the solution in a 1 quart container with water and a quarter strength of concentrate. So for me it calculates to .6 ml according to the labels recommended dose. These droppers come in handy. My Jacklyn was rerooted in straight sphagnum before transferring to Pon but the process is the same.

Thank you! Sounds like exactly what I did with the Bisma when I moved it to leca. I have heard to use a root stimulator in the beginning to help the roots. Then switch to fertilizer once their root system is established.

That makes sense. Sounds like a great idea 💚
