Don't know anything about Alocasia but I finally repot my Alocasia cuprea last night. How did I do? I’m testing out this semi-hydro setup! #alocasia #cuprea #redsecret

    I see leca on the bottom. What’s the upper part? Gravel?

      I have leca on the bottom for the reservoir and the top is PON 🙂 Thank you! It’s my first Alocasia!

      I use leca and have not done pon because of price. Too expensive to have all my semi hydro in it. To give you something to watch out for. With the clear planter, which I also like, you will have algae growing. Plus any maintenance which requires you taking out the plant is going to be a hassle. I have a leca planter with an inner basket and opaque outer pot. Solves both issues.

      I might end up changing to a setup similar to that since I’ve read no drainage holes aren't good. Will see how it does like this and if I see a decline I will definitely change it! Don't want to mess with the roots again so soon though 😩
