PRETTY BABY PRETTY BABY, alocasia’s are now one of my favs, I’ve got it in a general houseplant potting mix BUT when spring comes imma repot it into an aroid soil? Not sure of the spelling but YEAH. I’m also propagating some corns I unapologetically stole from it. Do y’all have any big leafy pretty alocasia recommendations? đŸ€

I definitely recommend using a chunky, well draining aroid soil. You can find mixes already made at different stores online or on Amazon. My Alocasias love a chunky mix!

Do you know the website where you get your soil from!

I get the individual parts from Amazon and local stores and mix my own, but you can get pre-mixed from Amazon as well, just search for “aroid potting mix”. I’ve heard good things about the Molly’s brand.

Repotme(dot)com has awesome premixed chunky soils. I can’t find big perlite in my small town so I buy a premixed chunky mix from them and mix my own using it

Mine love Molly’s mix. I don’t have the desire to mix my own but it would be way cheaper (if you have a lot of plants). Watch a Wild Fern video on YouTube
