Got a new pot and hanger for birtha today!! so exited to repot!! I will show when I finish
Is this a new leaf? Just bought this small plant baby at Kroger almost a month ago and she already had a new leaf unfurling, and I just noticed this yesterday.
Hi everyone. First time white princess philo parent here and I couldn’t be more excited. But not too thrilled about the brown spots on her leaves. I’ve only had her less than a month so wanted to know what the issue might be and nip it in the bud. She’s by a SW-facing window and skylight above. I water when soil is dry using the chopstick method (stick in for at least 2 mins). One of her leaves also curl in, not sure why. thank you 🙏🪴
Hi All! Can anyone tell me what this is? The photo doesn’t do her colors justice. Her leaves are coming in deep orange red colors. She’s very beautiful 🤩
found this gorgeous philodendron at home depot, she’s so healthy and bushy 🥰😍
Most excited for these Micans cuttings a friend gifted me. Potted her up in a 04in. pot with a chunky mix 🌱
Found at Walmart!
I’ve concluded that the best time to buy plants is on lunch break! Happy to add this one to the collection 😍
Hi All! Newbie here! I picked up what they say is a Painted Lady philodendron on clearance at Lowe’s today. I’d love suggestions on how I can make her look better. Top leaves seem ok but bottom leaves are dying. Anyone have photos of theirs to share?
I picked up a new philodendron today! I needed to reward myself for finishing my finals 😂 Sometimes I wonder why I went back to school again lol. Anyways, this little guy caught my eye. The label just said “new hybrid.” It looks a tad even more red in person. And it looks like the leaves don’t green down as much as prince of orange and mccolley's finale. I wonder what its a hybrid of. Really excited to watch it grow ☺️
Finished planning a conference so as a reward I bought myself a philodendron birkin 💚✨
I just got this two days ago and wondering for sure what they are. Both are philodendrons but that’s all the label says. Google is not much help. So asking for any help. Care tips very much appreciated as well.
Has anyone tried to recover water-logged roots? My poor Philomena was overwatered while we were away and now her roots are in a bad state. Any tips on how I can save her?
White Knight about to put out a new leaf and it’s looking very pretty! 🤗
My boyfriend got me this Pink Princess Philodendron for Valentine’s Day, does anyone have any tips for caring for it?
So excited and I had to share! My boyfriend surprised me with this White Wizard Philodendron! I’ve been driving him crazy talking about wanting one! He’s weee now, but I cannot wait for him to take off!
I’m attempting to get my Philodendron Rio to put out variegated leaves again. I’ve clipped off the segments of vines below a node that has striped leaves. The theory is the remaining leaf nodes previously put out striped leaves. So, they will likely do it again. I clipped off half of the vines and propagated each node into a rectangular bud vase containing SuperThrive. It holds about a quart of water. I repotted the mother plant in a 4 inch pot with well draining soil mix. I’m sure the decreased intensity and amount of light in my kitchen window during colder months is the primary cause of the new leaves lacking stripes. The window is facing north east. The new growth is also etiolated with 5 inch gaps between the nodes, a further indication it was seeking light. I’ve moved it outside since the weather is quickly warming.
I accidentally ripped off a healthy stem while getting rid of some dead bits, can I save this piece or no? It came off I think 2 weeks ago and I immediately put it in the soil in hopes of saving it and it looked like it was going fine but not so much now :(
