Hey yall! I saved this beautiful gal from Walmart and cleaned and repotted her. I named her Princess Polly and she’s already perked right up after repotting and fertilizing. Will this leaf ever go green? And any other suggestions to get her to full health?

I’ve been using Planta for a couple months now and most of my plants have really benefited from the customized watering schedules…except for maybe this one? I used to water her once a month before I started Planta in February but since her watering schedule increased in frequency following Planta’s advice I’ve noticed more and more yellow leaves. They are at the top and look like some of the oldest leaves though, so I’m not sure if it was going to happen anyway or if she’s not getting enough light at the top or if it really is overwatering. I’ve had her for at least 2 years without seeing this happen before, but we did move last summer. I think she had gotten used to a sunnier spot than I can provide now. Any thoughts?
Anyone else have this plant? It’s true cordatum. Isn’t she beautiful.
Spring Time New Growth 🪴
Hey, yall. I found a PPP last night that wasn’t in the greatest condition but also not the worst by far. There are quite a few healthy nodes but it came with some stuck leaves that I’ve helped unstick but they’re coming out brown and kind of dead. The plant itself doesn’t look “great” and I can’t help but fight the feeling of cutting it down and letting it completely regrow under healthier conditions. (Yes I am aware there are two in the pot) What do you all think?
Hello! I recently got a white wizard (knight) philodendron, and its white spots are turning brown/cracking and having trouble unfurling. I’m not sure how to fix this, I have a very small humidifier in the room, a fan and they get sunlight probably 4-5 hours a day. I also have a grow light on them that goes for 12 hours. What do I need to change to stop this from happening. I would hate to see my new Thai Constellation suffer from the same thing, thank you!
Hello, I am new to the philodendron world. I got this plant (white wizard) about a month ago and im getting all these new nodes, is there anything I should do about them? Tia!
Newly unfurled leaf on my Prince of Orange!
Loooovvvveee my new strawberry shake 😍🍓🥤
Hello All, Beginner Philodendron dad here. Not really sure whats going on here…at first I thought these dark spots were sun scorches but they’re soft to the touch, more soft than the plant itself. These 2 are the worst of the leaves. There are 2 other leaves on this plant that the tips are starting to brown as well. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction on what to do?? Thanks!
been loving the planta community for over a year but this is my first post :)! so cool to see this bright lime on my brazil , thought i’d share
Pssst, a certain big box store (Lowe’s) has ring of fire in stock. Was happy to find this beauty today.
My first post, found this gorgeous Pink Princess today. Immediately repotted in a potting soil/perlite/orchid bark mix and gave her a big drink. 🤩 Her roots were very healthy, hopefully she takes repotting like a champ. Anyone who has a thriving PPP feel free to leave advice so I can make sure she lives her best life. 😁
I bought two small pink princesses in mid January. One of them they weren’t sure she would live or not so they gave me her for $5. She has one big healthy variegated leaf on it and the other is a solid pink leaf. I recently cut the pink one off and a new growth started, and now there is ANOTHER solid pink leaf. Am I doing something wrong?
This is my heart leaf philo, my very first plant and the one that started my addiction to plants. I bought it from a woman a few years ago. She had it planted in a wire birdcage and that cage was planted down in a pot. I repotted it right after I bought it. I pulled the cage up and planted it in another pot with new dirt. Looking back, I now wish I had removed the plant from that cage then. Being brand new to the plant world at that time, I had no idea how big it would get or that it would eventually need to come out of that cage. This is where I desperately need some advice. She badly needs to be repotted with fresh dirt. The part of the plant that has been in the cage has not been getting sufficient light and has been very crowded in that area. The new leaves are having a hard time getting out and uncurling. I have also noticed that in this same area the new leaves are piggybacking off of other leaves if that makes sense. Some of the new leaves are small and extremely delicate. Over the last few years the plant has grown in/out of the cage-every part of the cage. There is a trellis standing up next to the pot that supports a large part of the plant. Due to the size and the way it has grown there was no way for me to physically take the plant out of the cage without causing great damage. I asked my son to remove the top of the cage as well as about half of the vertical cage “wall” using wire cutters. Hopefully you can see in the pictures what I’m left with. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to remove this plant in the easiest, safest way possible? I’m assuming it will take a few people to get this done. I don’t want to do this but I’m afraid I’m going to have to remove it in pieces, placing those pieces in water until roots start growing and then pot those pieces in one big pot☹️☹️I greatly appreciate any and all suggestions!!
when will my philodendron silver sword flowers bloom? who is up right that can answer this question and who has a mature philodendron silver sword
Is this new? I’ve never seen one of these before “Philo pink bikini” basically a pink birkin. Found it at the grocery store.
First new leaf since I purchased my florida beauty in January. 🥹
Does anyone know what is causing the spots on my black cardinal philodendron? The older leaves have had them since I got the starter plant about 8 months ago. Finally getting new growth and today noticed the spots on the new growth as well. Not on all leaves and no pests I can see.
