Watering this beast gets funnier every time.

My Walmart White Knight is putting out his first new leaf at home and it looks like a split 😍. I was pretty sad that the full white leaf had some browning from its life in the store, but the high variegation seems to be continuing

I heard a teeny little pop this morning and noticed my pink princess’ leaf had started opening on the other side!! Soon this little guy will be fully opened! I am wondering if PP focus their energy on one leaf at a time as the incoming leaf behind it hasn’t changed since the other popped out and started to unfurl. The incoming leaf is stuck but I have increased humidity around it which seemed to work for the new leaf.

I think my pink princess was getting too much sun on my new porch so I brought her inside. I have a grow light now but can anyone tell me if she just looks sunburnt or if there’s something else I need to be doing?

Need some help with this guy. I am new to caring for plants, so I have no idea what’s wrong! The discolored leaves are soft, not dry. Does anybody know what’s wrong/ how to fix this? Thank you!

Hi all! I’d love some advice. My Red Congo philodendron was looking a little sad and droopy so I decided to check the roots for any damage.. the roots are looking very stringy and dark brown.. is this early signs of root rot? The stem is not mushy at all so I’m wondering if I can cut off all dead roots and they will eventually grow back? I really don’t want to lose her so any help at all is greatly appreciated!

Hi! I’m very new to plants and just got this philodendron Mamei and he is quite floppy all the way to the stalk and I worry he’s not planted as deep as he should be? I was able to stick a chopstick in a spot where he no longer wobbles at all anymore, but I wanted to check and make sure this won’t be a problem in the future. Sorry for silly questions!!

White knight cutting Cut late December 2023 2 leaves Optimal light Leaves look great, but one root (larger root) looks rotted! Stem was slimy, removed all water and washed stems. 2 little roots still look good. Really worried about this! Any tips on reducing root rot? There appears to be the start of a leaf on the stem of the pic, but not sure. Any advise is appreciated!

Update!! My pink princess had two stuck leaves and I was told to add humidity to help them out. I also read that dabbing them with a little bit of water helps. I checked on PP and one of the leaves had finally unstuck!! Now, it is time for the unfurling to begin!! 😁

My pink princess decided to push out a bunch of all pink leaves in the last month or so. I’m considering cutting back to the last leaf that was pink/green combo since I heard that will encourage them to stop putting out pink leaves and put out more multi leaves. Has anyone does this and does anyone have tips for how to do it without traumatizing her?

Hi everyone. I bought a few plants today and I have some questions. The first one is about this philodendron. Is this a moonlight philodendron? The second question is about placing it: I have a south facing window about 90 inches wide and 6 feet tall. The room is about a 16'x20' in size. It is quite bright in the room and light bounces in the white walls. Can I place the philodendron about 10 feet from the window so it gets brightness but no sun? The third question is: does anybody grow it in leca (the clay balls)? Thank you!

Hey y’all..just received a philodendron Chocolate Empress.. this plant is not in Planta’s world. Wondering if anyone has one and care tips.. obviously I can go with general philo care, but one never knows…TIA..
