I also believe it’s been underwatered, the roots are quite thin and brown, should I repot/propagate?
0 gillningarNo smelly roots so definitely not rot
0 gillningarHumidity is important and a plastic pot might be better terracotta pulls moisture and you’ll need to water more often. WHEN you repot it.
0 gillningarOkay lovely! I’m thinking I’ll just put it back in the pot it’s already in, it’s plastic, but remove any dry roots if that’s even necessary? I’m pretty new to this whole sick plant thing!
0 gillningarAnd how long ago was recently? It could be stressed from changing environments.
0 gillningarTo be fair I only got it about a week ago! It was already in relatively bad shape when I got it but it was only £15 so I couldn’t say no! Hahaha
0 gillningarDon’t remove roots unless they’re slimy or smell bad
0 gillningarOkay thank you!! That’s super helpful! I’ll leave it alone pot wise!
0 gillningarHave you fertilized it? Sometimes a little fertilizer helps if they’re stressed
0 gillningarYeah I gave it some!:) do you think I should snip the dried up, unraveled new growth?
0 gillningarYes
1 gillaThese are what I do with sick plants. Just be patient and observe. Best of luck to you!
0 gillningarYou’re amazing!! Thank you so much:))
0 gillningarIt doesn’t look horrid btw.
1 gillaThank you!! I was mostly concerned about the brown new growth but hopefully snipping it will encourage it to push out some more!:)
1 gillaThis happens to me sometimes when a new plant it settling in. I would just cut it off and it will put out a new growth point
