I didnât realize philos were climbers đ§ should I be giving my red ruby a support? Sheâs getting pretty big and splaying out. (Hand for size ref)

It looks self heading, but if sheâs growing aerial roots it wouldnât hurt to give it a try! âșïž

Yes, most philodendrons are climbers. They grow up in their natural habitat by wrapping their aerial roots around the trunks of trees. Giving her a pole for support is going to be personal preference on what you want for your plant babyâs future lol.

But in the end, the supports made it difficult to repot the plants and introduced the potential of mold into the pot. I still have the poles and materials but I doubt Iâll ever use them again.
