Need some advice or opinions. What’s the difference between the wipple way mint and a paraiso verde?? What do yall prefer? Look similar in growing styles.

    Whipple way mint is going to be waaaayyyyyy more expensive. Even normal whipple way. But if money isn’t a factor, I prefer it over paraiso verde. I like paraiso but it’s generally not going to be as stunning in a home setting. Its variegation is temperature triggered, unlike most variegated plants. So it’s going to go all green if it doesn’t get high temps in addition to high light. Another similar one is burle marx mint. Its also expensive and hard to find, but it miiiight be a tad less pricy than a whipple way

      Exactly the advice I was looking for. I just checked prices of each😬 I like the wipple way a bit more too but I think I’m gonna start with the paraiso probably, try it out and maybe eventually upgrade to the wipple way. Thank you so much â—ĄÌˆ

      No problem 😁 I can totally relate! I definitely have “practice” plants that I’ve gotten to test if I can someday handle a pricier wishlist plant in the same genus. Sometimes it feels like I’ll never be able to afford the expensive wishlist. But the more people want them, the more growers grow them, and the more affordable they become! 2020 me never dreamed I’d have a monstera albo đŸ˜± But I got a really nice starter size one for about $50 with my Christmas money gifts (so that makes is $0, right? 😜 So I never rule out a plant just because it’s selling for triple or quadruple digits at the moment 😉
