Snagged myself a golden and nâjoy pothos today! đđ€đȘŽ
Just picked up this Pothos! So happy and so healthy!
I got this beauty from a cutting in a hotel lobby today! While it embarrassed my daughter for me to even ask if i could get one, the young man at the front desk did learn that a cutting could grow a new plant! These leaves are so big and gorgeous!!
Quick question, If I donât have a bigger sized nursery pot for my new and acclimated pothos, is it okay to do some root control and put it back into the pot it came in with fresh soil?
This was my Grandmaâs Jade that I inherited when she passed 7 years ago. In January I cut 5-6 feet off of her and repotted her. Appropriately, her name is Jo after my Gram (Josephine). I am so thrilled that she is thriving!
To mist or not to mist a pothos? I've had a neon pothos for about a year now and have been following the Planta suggested routine which is a misting about every four days. Recently I got fungus gnats which I've never had before, I skipped misting but continued to water as normal as that's when the gnats would emerge from the drowned soil and I could see if they were still there. The gnats seem to be gone now and I've gone back to misting on the regular schedule. I was also told by Planta it's about time to repot my pothos and I have read that old soil in an old pot could also attract pests. I was using a humidifier at the time for my pothos, initially pointed directly at my plant but after noticing some wilting I changed it to point just past it. The winter caused the humidity to drop into the 30s and the humidifier would get it into the 40s. But once the gnats appeared, I removed it as I heard it's not all that needed anyway and it's less maintenance on my end.
Can anyone tell me what plant this is? (Pls ignore the ZZ leaf⊠there was a lady bug in the room and I needed to transport it somewhere safe lol) also ignore the dusty crusty leavesâŠđ I have to wipe them down
What is everyoneâs favorite pothos variety?? Been starting to build a pretty good collection and wondering what I might be missing:) hereâs my recent favorite! Also, I am looking for more planty friends! My instagram is emmarinda.crochets if anyone would like to chat:)
Do you all think this pothos is ready to be planted?
Noticed this at my kid's dance studio. I may let the owner know that if it needs a trim, I'm your girl. Haha.
Happy Sunday. It's time to show my epipremnum pinnatums đ some love. âCebu Blueâ, âYellow Flameâ, âMintâ, and Variegata
2 of my prized beauties. Marble Queen and Satin Pothos. Has anyone else had slow growers with variegation?
My boss gave me permission to cut off a piece of the office plant if I could prove to her I could grow it and 3 weeks later here we go!!! A new leaf and some amazing roots đ€đđ€
My newest
May 2025 -> March 2026. Definitely my happiest plant đ«¶. I think sheâs due for a repot
I am so grateful for this community as I build my skills. I brought this Pothos home from a co-workers office because it was long, leggy, limp, and dropping. The pot and soil were soaked so I released it from the pot (same terra cotta one you see here), inspected the roots which looked ok, removed several leaves, cleaned the pot, repotted it with my own airy potting mix, trimmed the stems and planted some of the nodes by wrapping some of the stems spirally around the top, and watered it well. 12 hours later, it is still limp and the towel underneath it is very damp despite letting it drain significantly when I watered it. Have I made the situation worse? I'm wondering if the pot is too big. I'm also wondering if I should just cut down to the roots and start again in a smaller pot. Any advice would be great!
Hello! New (to taking it seriously) the plant world. I was under the impression when I got this plant that it was of the pothos family, now that Iâm getting into plants, Iâve been informed that pothos normally donât fenestrate.. please can you ID this plant for me? Itâs kept in my frog tank, so 12 hours of UVB and natural light a day, humid and often watered (when I remember). Itâs gone crazy, wonât stop growing. Itâs planted in peat moss purely because itâs frog friendly (I understand itâs not the best, but Iâm limited to frog friendly options). When I first bought it I had no experience with plants, so itâs lucky itâs still alive.. Pic of frog for tax đž
I got two potho girls that are climbers. Out growing their pots. I was thinking aboit combining them into 1 pot. Thoughts? Since they are still too small for the pot size up from what they are in, but too big for current pot.
Pleaseeee help me! How do I save her!?
