Grabbed some cuttings from my mom — known golden, but “grocery store mystery” on the variegateds. The image is two leaves on the same cutting — are we looking at n’joy or perhaps glacier? A lot of the leaves on mama plant have interior variegation rather than white on the margins. She has two variegated pothos and unfortunately I wasn’t paying attention to sorting, so I may have mixed together. Initially started these in water but decided after a day to just try soil — will let you know how it goes!

Hello everyone!! I bought this pothos about a month ago. In all my life, I have never been able to keep plants alive, but I’m hoping this time around, I’ll have a better time of it! The other day, I cut yellow and some browning leaves off (not from the hanging parts, from the main pot). I’m worried I might be overwatering, so I am going to adopt the chopstick idea. What I’m wondering now is if the grow light is also a problem? I don’t have windows to put this guy in because I live on the main floor of an apartment building (zero privacy if curtains are open). Will this set up work?

Hello everyone! i just joined this group and hope to help and learn from you all! Here are some props i have because i want a fuller plant. I decided to do a big chop on my golden. I also recently got some cuttings from my local plant shop of a marble queen. I’m expecting a pearls and jade from canopy plant co. in the mail within next couple days. I seem to have quite a bit of white variegation on some leaves of my golden as well. I hope to separate them from the yellow to increase the white variegations. So, if anyone has any tips on growing props please let me know. I tested two in perlite, most in water, and my marble queen in a chunky soil/ prop box because they already had been rooted in soil. Thanks for any help you guys can give! (p.s …and yes in the background i am cultivating lady finger cactus cuttings in a mcdonald’s hot cake container… i save what i can lol)

What could be causing this damage too my now not so beautiful pothos? My top suspicion is root rot because some stems/arms are literally falling off because they rotted

I’m not sure what the problem is but some of the leaves on my big girl are turning yellow. She’s got new shoots and leaves but also these few problem leaves. I mist her regularly which is necessary because it is very dusty in Lubbock. Before now I haven’t had any problems, not even after transplanting her. Any help appreciated

Help, I messed up!!! I was watering my golden pothos with fertilizer just now, and the cup I was using to mix the water + fertilizer had remnants of laundry detergent in it. I only realized this after I watered the pothos and smelled the laundry detergent, then the realization hit me. I’ve since then rinsed the soil four times by putting the pothos under the tap water, and barely see any bubbles in the soil, but I don’t know what I should do. The plant is in wonderful condition and doesn’t need to be repotted, I would hate to have to bother it with soil changes while it’s so healthy and happy, but if that’s what you guys think I should do, let me know!

I’ve had this golden cuttin in water for like 5-6 weeks now or so I think. What are these little white dots? Are they roots? Seems like odd development compared to the rest.

hi! i recently bought a goldie for my windowless office and plan on getting a sunlight therapy lamp which i’ve read functions basically as a grow light… do you think that’ll work well?

I’ve grown this pothos from cuttings off another pothos which has now died. I’ve always thought this was a golden pothos, but after seeing photos of a jade pothos I’m not so sure. Can anyone tell me of this is a jade or golden pothos?

Hi everyone! I’m new to the planting community and my friend gifted me some cuttings from her silver satin pothos! When would be a good time to pot the cuttings? One of the cuttings has grown a root and a leaf while the other doesn’t seem to have a root yet even though they were cut at the same time (it does look like there’s a small leaf coming in tho!) Also will the purple pot (shown in the photo) be a good place to pot them initially? Like I said I’m a complete beginner so any help would be amazing!

Why are there so many green leaves on this N’joy. Is that not enough light to maintain variegation or is that normal?

Hey guys! My sister gifted me this beauty about a month ago because she thought she was gonna kill it (lol) it has these weird dried parts that I’m wondering if I should just cut and propagate or if I can do something else to make it look better. The rest of the plant seems to be growing well everywhere else after it was gifted to me, but this area seems to be struggling

SOS 😢 Can my pothos be saved? It used to be my pride and joy but it suffered after my dad passed in November. I think it had some frostbite after being left outside, was under watered, then overwatered. Leaves turned yellow and it started dropping vines. It’s been in the same pot with drainage for 3 years but I was afraid to repot during the winter. I tried wrapping some of the bald vines back into the soil but it didn’t seem to help. I really don’t want to lose this plant. What can I do?
