anyone else notice this app recommending severely under watering your hoyas? for example i have an obovata in a 4” pot that needs to be watered every 3-5 days but planta recommends i water every 9 days! i think i’d have a dead plant if i waited that long routinely. i’m also having to set up custom schedules for my other hoya species as it seems to recommend watering about half as much as the plant actually needs

My new Hoya Sunrise is so unusual with dark oxblood colored sun stress markings on the leaves, if you’re familiar with the color of oxblood fountain pen ink. My phone camera is not showing the true colors. The flower scent is supposed to be honeysuckle. I’m hoping I won’t have to wait too long to see it bloom!

It’s a rainy day where I am - but it was made better by my Hoyas. Two new ones came today — Hoya cv Ann and Hoya nummularioides. I also trellised my krimson queen. I definitely caught the Hoya bug!!! Lol

That lovely kerrii I posted about ordering finally arrived 🤩 Please excuse my messy plant table lol. I ordered one advertised as exact pictured. I got the one in the picture but it looks like one leaf got knocked off since the picture had been taken (no biggie). I’m not super well versed in hoya yet. Will that node send out new growth or will it always be bare where the leaf fell off? Other than that, it’s got great new growth continuing off the main vine ☺️

It’s Hoya Sunday! (I self declared it!🤪) So, I’m posting the hoya that made me smile. It’s an 8” Hoya Krimson Princess from Etsy (TheFloridaRoots). This beauty is my new arrival! She has all the features I wanted in this variety: lots of variegation, long pink vines, dark green leaves to balance and the lovey pink new leaves! 😍🪴💖 What hoya made you smile? Post a picture or it will be “Sunny, party of one!”🤣

This is my Hoya Ah-074. She likes this spot A LOT but soon this window will be frosted over until spring next year so I have to move her into a warm area and will be supplementing with grow lights until I can put her back. Winter in central Canada means regular plant shuffling at least for me.

My favorite Hoya because of its heart shaped leaves and vines that are bigger around than my finger. Right now it is pushing our two mega vines at the top and several leaves started on them. Hoya Kerrii reverse variegated.

Simple little Hoya Mathilde splash but love when I can grow a Hoya from a two leaf cutting that was dehydrated with wrinkled leaves when I got it.
