So this is my Hoya Pubicalyx. Her name is Ridley (named after the most important girl I know). She’s easily my favorite plant. I find her extremely unique and I could stare at her all day. The ease of caring for her makes me love her even more. People say Hoyas are difficult plants, but I don’t get that at all. The ones I have are low maintenance. Just follow their care instructions and they thrive like the sweet, angelic creatures they are. The other pics are of some circular trellises that I ordered online for my Hoyas. I cannot wait to get them and put my girls on them. It’s going to be the most perfect thing I ever saw. My Hoyas have been ready for a trellis for a while now and I finally found the perfect ones. I’ll share pics of them when they’re all setup on the trellises. Is it a good or bad thing that I’m so very excited about something like this?

The first set of blooms finally opened on my Hoya MB 1379 (Nicholsoniae x Aldrichii)! The flower petals are velvety! The flower head is about the diameter of a large golf ball. The scent is a light sweet flowers type and not overpowering. 😍 I bought this online as a 2 year old full size plant. Bought it last year from rarehoya.

Can anyone help me figure out what type of Hoya this is? It is definitely stressed-I rescued it from my daughter’s room!

Hi everyone! New to Hoyas myself, but my mom has curly leafed one that has thrived for years. Quick question: why are all the leaves on this plant facing away from the window? Do they not like the amount of light?? Thanks in advance for any advice g

My first Hoya is doing really well. Her name is Lola! I got her in a mystery plant box. I repotted her last week because her soil didn’t look great and I think she is thriving. She has grown the large branch and new leaves mostly over this past week. Since she is my first Hoya, I was wondering if I need to get her a trellis soon? Is that necessary for her to be happy?

Just a Krimson Queen, but I’m excited that she finally bloomed for me!

I'm planning on getting a hoya, but I find myself torn between two varieties. Which one do all of you think is cooler: imbricata or retusa? (I'll probably get both eventually tbh)

I got this Hoya a month or so ago from Lowe’s and then all of a sudden the one side died and I have since removed it. Should I keep the plant on the trellis or grow it a different way? Looking for any advice to keep it alive!

hello! 👋😊 i am new to Hoyas! i got this beauty at a farmers market and she lost her leaves and i think the pot is way too big yeah! i’ve been recommended to downsize :) i removed dead leaves and tend to her when needed. she receives east light and there’s been a grow light too! super amazing to see these buds as i did what i could, so i would be thankful for any helpful advice! downsize? identification, soil & repot? the second stem doesn’t seem to be doing anything and i don’t know what the white discoloration is on the soil :( i own orchid bark, succulent/cacti mix, and need to re-up on soil 😊 i’d love for her to flourish and to clean her up!

This is my standard Hoya Lacunosa. It’s a no fuss no splash variety that’s more affordable than other Lacunosa varieties. It shines in the heavy load of blooms all summer. Plus, it sun stresses to a brick color with pink blooms. The non sun stressed blooms are white. The photo with all green leaves is my second one of the same variety. It’s not sun stressed as yet.

This is one of my fast growing super shiny Hoya Monette! (Not to be confused with Hoya Monetteae which has the standard small flowers.) I got two little plants from Plant Proper at the end of November. They are both almost 4 feet long! I’m hoping for their extra large puffy blooms next year. 😍🪴

I got this pretty lady at HD yesterday. I’m still a newbie to plants so if anyone has any suggestions to help her thrive please let me know!! :)
