Hoya Carnosa Suzy Q. It looks like a Krimson Queen with stiff narrow taco shell leaves. Very cute when the pink and white leaves emerge. 😍
Loved watching this beauty grow a couple of new leaves. Hopefully many more to come :)
Some Hoya bloom whenever but Retusa faithfully blooms in the fall. Typically get a few blooms. This time there are at least a hundred in various stages of development.
I controlled the sprawl on this Hoya Nummularioides by wrapping it around a bamboo hoop trellis. The twig like vines are still flexible enough to curve. I wish I had trained it earlier. I’m still happy the way it turned out. No peduncles were harmed in the process, surprisingly! It has a mild sweet scent that doesn’t project too far from the plant. The leaves are firm with soft velvet feel like Baby Bunny Bellies Tradescantia. 🌸🌸🌸
Fighting the urge to snip this vine because I know leaves are coming
The third flower sprout of the year on my crimson queen.
I love these round new leaves on my Hoya Heuschkeliana! I got it at n spring. This plant has continuously bloomed all spring and summer. It’s the plain Jane Heuschkeliana, no variegation, no frills, no high price and maximum joy!🥰 Butter/butterscotch scented. Not overpowering.
Does anyone know what this Hoya is? When I got it it was just labeled “Hoya.” I don’t think it’s a pubicalyx or carnosa because its leaves are so much thicker than my other Hoya plants. It’s also got two little purple spots, but they might just be damage. If anyone has any ideas I’d love to hear them! Also, I got it almost 2 months ago and it hasn’t pushed out any new leaves - is there something I can do to promote new growth?
My baby hoya kerrii grew a leaf and I'm so excited! This is my first time having a leaf, so I don't know much about them. First, it doesn't yet look like my main thick heart shaped leaf. How long does it take for a new leaf to resemble the other one? And any other tips about hoya kerii would be appreciated!💕🌱
Help with ID? Got this as an unrooted cutting labeled Pottsii NOID (aka no identification). Now that I have managed to flower it I am still stumped. I found one on Google labeled Parasitica purple that looks identical but I don’t believe that is a proper name. Any suggestions?
I think I found a krimson princess on clearance at Lowe’s? The tag says carnosa compacta but that’s def not right lol. I always forget if the princess has the variegation on the inner or outer 🥴
Okay.... i had to..... look Hoya adorable!
My hoya cutting. I removed three base leaves and that means it has three nodes for it to grow roots, as well as 5 healthy leaves still attached. So will root and be successful. Any tips will help.
This is my first Hoya, I would like to keep her very happy any tips?
The bead like red velvet blooms on my Hoya Burtoniae are tiny and adorable. 😍 The scent is slightly repulsive to me. Reminds me a bit of crushed lawn weeds. 😕
These hoyas seem to like cooler nights, 50°F - 60°F, and medium to bright indirect sunlight because they are blooming well. This is the first blooms to open for my Hoya Crassipetiolata and Hoya Nummularioides #5. Both hoyas are easy to grow. The Hoya Crassipetiolata puts out extra long vines. I just roll them up like a garden hose. Hoya Nummularioides has a peduncle at almost every leaf node, about every inch. It propagates in water easier than a pothos.
My only Hoya then vs now I love this thing can’t wait until it’s huge show me all your Hoya linearis
I’m a starter plant mom! Anyone have any Hoya growing tips?
My Hoya Chouke growth progress. I got it in March from Gabriella Plants. It’s been outside since summer in bright indirect sunlight. It’s a cross of a Hoya Carnosa and a Hoya Serpens! It’s a sister plant to the Hoya Mathilde which also has the same parent plants. The Hoya Chouke’s leaves are slightly larger than the Mathilde’s leaves. The Chouke’s stems are more fleshy and flexible. They branch off readily from the main vine. It’s easy care. Leaves don’t quickly turn yellow and drop if you are late watering it.
