iâm new to hoyas and got this one a few months ago. i just repotted it and attached a small trellis. any advice on how to promote healthy growth and flowering?

I got two seed pods from my hoyas this summer. One is from my Hoya Heuschkeliana, yellow flowers. The other is from my Hoya Krohniana Black (shown). It got rained on last night in the middle of the seed pod opening. Hoyas have short lived seeds that must be planted the same season the pods open. So, the late season forces me to germinate these indoors with a grow light and seed starter setup. I donât have much luck with this process. So, Iâm hesitant to invest too much money and effort. But, I really want to see the plants. The seeds could be a cross pollination of a few hoyas in bloom including Hoyas Lacunosa, Lacunosa Snow Caps, Noona, Krohniana Super Silver, Multiflora, Cumingiana, and Gracilis.

Iâm not as successful with my Hoya plants as I have been with my others. I got this one just a few weeks ago. She had 2 pinkish leaves that both fell off on their own. She was also very floppy when she arrived in the mail. The bottom leaves have been like that since she arrived. She is no longer floppy and seems to be healthier, but Iâm not the best at being able to tell. She feels sturdy in her pot now. My other one had a trailing vine that I accidentally broke off! đ I think theyâre getting the correct water and sun ratios. What do you think? Do they look OK? Do you have any advice?

Hoya incrassata.. the new leaf, is it sun stress or illness? Hard to tell from pic, but the discoloration is reddish pink, not brown. Do they get sunburn? Itâs been like inches away from a grow light..

Show me your climbing or trailing Hoya krimson queens for inspo. She is one of my absolute faves and I want to make sure Iâm giving her the best environment. I had her in the house in a north facing window. I moved her outside on my backporch with super high humidity. She was getting viny with no leaves on the vines so I gave her a couple of orchid stakes and now she is climbing and leafing like crazy. But I donât know if I like the orchid stakes so I want to see how you guys are doing it with the same type of plant.

Super happy with the plant trade I made the other day! Received cuttings for both Hoya polyneura and Hoya mathilde. The mathilde is super splashy, so that was a pleasant surprise. The cuttings are small though, so I'm going to try rooting them in sphagnum moss. It's my first time propagating this way so tips are appreciated. I usually just do water propagating. Can't wait to grow these babies out! I'm thinking of taking cuttings from my wayetii to try and propagate this way as well.

Hooboy!! Me again. đ«Łđ I ordered a large Hoya compacta several days ago. Paid nearly $300 for her. She arrived today. I was pretty disappointed. She had several brown/yellowed leaves. The majority of her leaves were very shriveled. The soil in the pot was dry as a bone. And looked to have been so for quite a while. Now, I realize plants get stressed during shipping. I get that. But this poor Hoya looked like sheâd been dry for a WHILE! Am I crazy? And NO. This Hoya was NOT one of the plants I ordered from LA Succulents. THOSE plants arrived in GORGEOUS condition. Honest opinions on whether Iâm out of line thinking I got ripped offâŠ

Oh goodness gracious!! Iâve done a horrible thing. đ«Ł I found LASucculents on Palmstreet. Be still my heart! Their live Hoya auctions are UHmazing! I ordered seven on Saturday. They arrived here today (Wednesday!). Iâve just watered them and theyâre awaiting placement in my house. Iâve got to decide where to put them. Theyâre SO gorgeous!!

My old Hoya Pubicalyx âRoyal Hawaiian Purpleâ has finally put out a peduncle! Itâs over 5 years old. It put out an excessive amount of leaves. So, I cut back on the frequency of fertilization this summer to slow the leaf growth. I was experimenting. I was going to sell it and was preparing to clip off the dead vines when I noticed the flowers. It must have felt the threat. đ

My Hoya Fungii is blooming again. đ Such a lovely pink. Itâs juicy! The light scent smells like sweet flowers. This variety is definitely worth owning. Itâs not fussy.

My hoya has a peduncle! This is the first one, and I've had this plant for almost 2 years.

It seems like my Sunrise cutting is trying to give me two peduncles. These would be my first peduncles if I'm seeing this right. Is it time for me to get excited?

A little appreciation post for my Hoya carnosa. The mother plant she came from goes back three generations and has been passed down in my husband's family. I was honored when my grandmother-in-law shared some of her mature hoya cutting with me and now she has matured into this beauty. She is recovering from an aphid infestation, but is so hardy she was in constant bloom the whole time. I've carried on her legacy by giving both my sisters their own propagations potted up.
