Hooboy!! Me again. 🫣😜 I ordered a large Hoya compacta several days ago. Paid nearly $300 for her. She arrived today. I was pretty disappointed. She had several brown/yellowed leaves. The majority of her leaves were very shriveled. The soil in the pot was dry as a bone. And looked to have been so for quite a while. Now, I realize plants get stressed during shipping. I get that. But this poor Hoya looked like she’d been dry for a WHILE! Am I crazy? And NO. This Hoya was NOT one of the plants I ordered from LA Succulents. THOSE plants arrived in GORGEOUS condition. Honest opinions on whether I’m out of line thinking I got ripped off…

    Yeah it looks pretty dehydrated

      That’s what I thought. I’ve had Hoya compactas before. Forgotten to water them occasionally. But they never looked this shriveled. 😢

      Yeah I’d be upset for the $300 you paid. I understand they can get stressed during shipping but this is too much

    You were sold an unhealthy dehydrated plant. I would ask for a refund.

    Definitely get a refund and send it back. The credit card company will refund your money if you file a complaint against the seller. File a complaint if you bought it from an application. Good luck.🍀

    Yep i agree with everyone and you. That is a RIP OFF!! It makes me so mad 😤😠!! I'm so sorry. I would try to get your money back.

    Mine looked like that just before it died from mealy bi It’s I couldn’t get under control or water enough.

    I’d say you got ripped off. Unless that thing too the slow train from Georgia it went out the door that way. Demanded your money back. Send photos. I’d look for mealies in. The Hoya.

    Yes try for refund. I would only purchase a plant for that much if I saw it at the nursery. Not online. Been ripped off too much!

      I’ve only been ripped off once. But you can be sure I certainly won’t buy such an expensive online plant again, unless it’s from a seller I have used several times and absolutely trust.
