I got this today at home depot and it says "sea stone" Hoya and I can't find anyrhing about it. Good images gives me a different result every time. Does anyone know what this is?
Her flowers are incredibly fragrant tonight 😍 it smell like chocolate to me.
My hoya carnosa 'krimson princess' has a few vines that are reverting. She was in a lot more shade previously then where she is now and went through a move. She seems to love her new spot and has put out plenty of new growth. I'm just not sure what to do about the reverted vines. I don't necessarily want to chop them just yet until the variegated vines grow more. I dont want to leave a big hole when she is so pretty and bushy right now. Maybe it's a long term fix, but I want her to be fully variegated.
Have really grown to love sp. aff. burtoniae
This is the first bloom of my H. hainanensis. Fun fact; when you see ensis at the end of a Hoya name, it indicates a place of origin. This Hoya was originally collected in the Chinese province of hainan.
Excited to smell my first ever blooms on my solokensis 😬
Hoya Fungii peduncles. 😍 This is a fast grower and low maintenance. This is the second year blooming.
Isn’t it interesting that this Hoya obvata has a ❤️ shaped leaf?!
The first bloom on my Hoya Bella to go full term in three years! All the other peduncles grew to 1/4” and fell off. This is one of the first hoyas I bought three years ago after the seller convinced me it was an easy bloomer. I’ve moved it to 6 locations in and out of the sun, fought white, black and orange aphids and gave it grow lights in winter. I gave it filtered sunlight outside where it’s humid and hot. It thanked me with a flower.
Hoya Obovata blooms again. It’s heavily sun stressed from last year giving off yellow and blood spattered looking leaves.
Rapunzel (aka linearis)
Had a single bloom on my rope, thought it was so cool.
I got new babies and I love them all! The krohniana arrived the other day. The parasitica and the fitchii came today; parasitica has a peduncle and the fitchii was a gift from the seller! The pubicalyx arrived today too! It was early. No more for now! My starter wishlist is complete. Probably. I think. Haha
While checking for pests, I found several penduncles on my Hoya Lacunosa snow caps, including one at the end of blooming! They were dangling at the back of the pot. I rearranged the vines for the photo. 😁 Smells like bergamot oil to me. It is sun stressed yellow. I bought it as a small lightly rooted cutting with blooms and peduncles that quickly fell off. It was my first Hoya Lacunosa. Green is the normal color.
First peduncles on my Hoya Finlaysonii! I’m looking forward to see the flowers bloom. 😍
My sprawling Hoya Crassipetiolata has started to bloom. It only put out 1 peduncle last year.
Hard to get a photo of the whole plant! Chinghungensis.
Common but gorgeous! Obovata.
The last set of blooms on my Hoya Loyceandrewsiana opened and closed almost within 24 hours. Blooms are supposed to last 5-6 days. It’s probably the after effects of the aphids sucking the sap on the flower stems. The scent is suppose to range from sweet musk to cat pee based on online comments. This one definitely has opening notes on the cat pee spectrum! I thought the neighbor’s cat was in the yard last night!🤣 The base notes are spoiled watermelon. It’s probably from the flowers dying. Hoyas are rarely boring. 😂
