How to water your Christmas Tree
Bringing a Christmas tree indoors is a cherished tradition that adds warmth and festive spirit to your home during the holiday season. To ensure your tree remains vibrant and healthy throughout the festivities, it's essential to provide proper care from the moment you bring it home.
Choosing the right tree
Before diving into care tips, it's crucial to start with a healthy tree.
Freshness:Choose a tree with vibrant, green needles. Avoid trees with dry, brown needles or excessive needle loss.
Firmness:Gently run your hand along the branches. The needles should feel pliable and not fall off easily.
Fragrance:A fresh tree should have a pleasant, piney scent. If the tree lacks fragrance, it may be less fresh. However, not all Christmas trees have a strong scent. The intensity of the fragrance can vary depending on the type of tree.

Watering
Provide an Adequate Stand:Use a sturdy tree stand that can hold an ample amount of water. A freshly cut tree can absorb a significant amount of water, especially in the first few days.
Water Regularly:Check the water level daily and replenish it as needed. A good rule of thumb is to ensure that the base of the tree is always submerged in water. This prevents the tree from drying out and becoming a fire hazard.
Additives and Preservatives:Some people swear by adding aspirin, sugar, or commercial tree preservatives to the water to extend the tree's freshness. While opinions on their effectiveness vary, plain water is generally sufficient if regularly maintained. We recommend adding water and nothing else.

Placement and Temperature
Choose a Suitable Location:Place your Christmas tree away from heat sources such as radiators, fireplaces, or direct sunlight. Excessive heat can cause the tree to dry out quickly.
Maintain a Cool Room Temperature:Lower room temperatures can slow down the drying process and help your tree stay fresher for a more extended period. Aim to keep the room between 60-70°F / 15-21°C.
