Harvesting Strawberries
Strawberries are sweetest when fully ripe and picked at the right moment. Harvesting regularly encourages continued fruit production throughout the season.

Care instructions
Harvest when fully red.
Strawberries should be completely red, including around the tip and near the stem. They do not continue ripening after being picked.Pick at peak ripeness.
Ripe strawberries are bright, glossy, and fragrant. If the berry is still pale or partially white, wait another day.Harvest during cooler hours.
Pick strawberries in the early morning when they are firm and cool. Avoid harvesting during mid-day heat.Cut or pinch the stem.
Use scissors or pinch the stem just above the berry, leaving a small piece of stem attached. Avoid pulling directly on the fruit.Handle gently.
Strawberries bruise very easily. Place them carefully in a shallow container and avoid stacking too high.Harvest frequently.
Check plants every 1–2 days during peak season. Regular harvesting keeps plants productive and prevents overripe fruit.Store properly after harvesting.
Store unwashed strawberries in the refrigerator. Wash just before eating. Use within a few days for best flavor and texture.
