Harvesting Corn
Corn is sweetest when harvested at peak ripeness. Picking at the right time ensures tender kernels and maximum flavor.

Care instructions
Harvest at the milk stage.
Corn is ready to harvest when the silks (the thread-like strands at the top) have turned brown and dry, but the husk is still green. The ears should feel full and firm.Check the kernels.
Gently peel back a small section of husk and press a kernel with your fingernail. If a milky liquid comes out, it’s ready. If the liquid is clear, it needs more time. If it’s thick or doughy, it’s past peak.Don’t wait too long.
Corn quickly loses sweetness after maturity. Harvest promptly once ready.Harvest during cooler hours.
Pick corn early in the morning for the best flavor. Sugar levels are highest before the heat of the day.Twist and pull downward.
Hold the stalk firmly and twist the ear downward to snap it off cleanly.Harvest all ears promptly.
Once one ear is ready, others on the plant are usually close behind. Check daily.Store properly after harvesting.
For best flavor, use corn as soon as possible after harvest. Store in the refrigerator with husks on until ready to use.
